Walking Street Area Hotel????

Recommended Posts

I've stayed at the Residence...Great Place and everything is well. I have all rgood things to say about Ib Ottesen and his hotel. For my style, I'd rather be able to walk out my door and be in the action.  Run home for a quick shower/change of clothes or S.T is a bit more cumbersome going up the hill than works for me!

What is good near that is Upscale, Joiner Friendly, in room safe and big beds? Not on a small budget, 2000 Baht is O.K. I'd prefer that upper cost buffer zone, keeping the place cleaner and mroe quite, etc.

I trying to get into Pattaya, I did six Patong runs in 12 months and am looking to ease my logistics/time

for the Thailand Runs

Try Diamond Beach hotel its right in the heart of walking street, step out the front foyer and go gos  right in front of you,its not noisy in the rooms, has 2 pools,is clean, not sure about room safes in some rooms,i used the safty deposit boxs,i have stayed there several times now, its guest friendly, just an id check is all ,its on Soi17 runs right off walking street,i got one of the cheaper rooms 800 a night, not sure about the luxury ones though, thier email address is pretty much useless, try ehotelbookings, they can give you a price

If you go to any of the gogos or beer bars on soi diamond, and look away from walking street, you'll see the lobby of the hotel.  before 2am your limo will have to drop you off at 2nd road and soi diamond, just to the left from pattaya tai.  Its about a 5 minute walk through an intense crowd to the hotel from there.

The top two floors, roof top pool, and patio are closed until January.  I found out when I called to make a reservation for later this month  ;D and asked for the 8th floor.  They're putting in a new pool up there.  I'll stay there anyway because I love the location.
