I'll be arriving at BKK at 2325 on Dec 6. Already have cab confirmed with Alex for 1500bht to PTY. Let me know if anyone can meet up then. If not, I'll have to take the journey all by myself   :'(

I'd hate to burst your bubble before you arrive in BKK but the airport taxi (which is very very reliable) costs only $800 bhat.

 

If you want something really cheaper then that then you might try the taxi stand ourside the airport just off of the bridge/walkway that lead you to the Amri hotel.  The taxi stand is right across from the train station.  This is literally a 5 minute walk once you get out of immigration.

 

I'm not sure why you are paying $1500 bhat... but you are getting ripped off..... welcome to SEA ... looks like the locals have gotten to you already  :)
