I've been putting off booking my flight,30th june to 31st july,till i was sure i'd have enough cash.Well looks like i'll have the spends and hotel cash. Now i'm just waiting to see which way the Air Fares go.I live in Notiingham so not fussed where i fly from,Birminghams the closest which means Emirates with a stop.

Didn't know about the 30k limit on the bonds. Everything depends on individual situations,me personally i only have 130k which is a decent amount but no where near enough to retire on.I'd want 250k min at 6% to have enough to retire,i think that day is a long way away and getiing further away. how well off are you? if you don't need the interest then how about premium bonds? 100% safe and possibility of a good win.good place to store your cash for a while to see which way the wind blows.

Been searching for flights flying 30th June flying back 31st July.Cheapest i've found is Jet,any opinions on these been quoted £500 and change.

Right folks is the overall opinion to not book and just walk into a few places when i get there ( 1st july ) and see what they're offering?

Should be a law against taking babies on flights.Give me a good reason why a baby should be on a flight. Holiday,no point. Visiting family,get the family to come to you. Every one knows that babys on planes piss folk off,so unless your willing to drug the rug rats then stay at home.

Drive sounds good,what is the reason to take a child ( say under 4 ) on a long haul flight for a holiday.They won't remember the holiday and they won't appreciate it,just because it's free to take the kid doesn't mean it's right.

kids on planes are ok they have the in flight entertainment to keep them busy and quiet,it's the parents that take babys that piss me off.The babys get on free and they piss folk off so no plus side for the airlines. I'm starting the ban babys on flights group right here right now Also if your one of these useless parents that can't control your kids well kill them and your self because your just a burden on everyone else.

it's something to think about,i'm there for the month so it's a possibility.going to get the flight that gets in at 6am so i can have a look around.

Condo's look cheap but when you add in ameneties and cleaning it all works out the same ish.

Lodge's pool is closed soon for repair or something.

The Irish gives the best odds IMO

Flipper Lodge have said for low season it's 20% off but the Pool is closed.WOW so generous.

Probably seen you then mate been going there for 6 years twice a year. Like you said nothing wrong with the place just fancy the change.They've built on the waste ground at the side so theres bound to be more foot traffic round there.You only get the sun from 10 till 4 by the pool thats a bit of a downer.I always have the same room there pool view for 23k ish high 20k low.I'm thinking for that i might as well have a look around. Also i'm a polite soul and always treat the girls as ladies so they all know me on Soi Lenke and theres one i alway have for the majority of my stay.It upsets me a bit bringing girls back to the Hotel in plain view of her and her friends.I'd rather not have the guilt but thats me,horses for courses eh! Agreed the prices seem too much,not going to book any unless i get a total bargain,so going to just turn up at the door. I think in july they won't turn down a month long rental. You know any of the places 1st hand ? the one on soi 2 looks interesting.

Always stayed J&P Court but fancy a change heres what i've got so far,all prices for July. Nova Park On site it says 25k e mail received from Hotel says 45k waiting for answer to this from hotel. Duannaming Hotel 19500k pool view room.Looks aces but out close to Hospital end of Boikow. Pattaya Bay Resort 14900k. Small pool. Baywalk Residence. 30000k. Looks great but i like my peace and quiet so maybe a bit too close to W/S for me.Good discount though. Maxx central apartments. Waiting to hear from these online says 14900k plus amenieties.Looks good. Flipper Lodge. Building A renovated superior room sea view,internet 1500k a night.Waiting to see if they will do a monthly rate. Palm Garden Soi 2. Pool is huge no pictures of room ( anyone ? ),waiting for monthly rate if any. Decisions decisions.

Who you booked through? Cheapest decent flight i've found is Emirates from Birmingham for £505 with Southall Travel for end of June till end of July.

I'm 41 single and no kids but i'm still struggling,but it's not going to stop me coming in July.Every month i put cash aside for my trip even if that means i have to go with out here. Christmas 2007 my best friend,just 2 months older than me.was playing 5 a side football and dropped dead.You don't know whats coming so live life you don't know whats coming. Is £3k really going to make a diff if your struggling that much then 3k isn't going to make much of a diff,IMO.

Whats your opinions on the following places Maxxcentral apartments Pattaya bay Resort Duan-Nam-ing Hotel Baywalk residence LK Mansions My priorities are quiet at night,Pool and balcony.Had a quote from Baywalk for 30 nights in July 30k. Always stayed at J&P Court Soi Lenke but i fancy a change.J&P price is about 20k and change.Would like something around the 15 to 20 range. Cheers Rob
