Hi all, Just a few comments on booking rooms - even in the low season. Hotels offload their rooms to travel agents at discounted rates and the agents take the risk of filling them or not. If the agent has say 10-20 rooms - even if the rooms are empty the hotel RARELY re-sells them. My sister-in-law worked here in one of the bigger hotels and when occupancy rates dropped, it meant the hotel could arrange hotel staff holidays better and leave the agent's rooms empty.
