BKK-LAX China Airlines Question
itishotiniraq replied to itishotiniraq's topic in Airline Discussion
Thanks for the responses indeed. I found the deal with China Airlines while researching the OW ticket to America from BKK. I went directly to their website and it is posted there. Good luck. I flew the EVA Business Class in October/November RT to LAX from BKK and was not really impressed. It was not bad by any means but as stated, the seats made me feel like I was sliding down all the time. I've checked just about all airlines and the China Airlines is the best deal so far. EVa being next then Thai Air. NWA/Delta was around 100k baht as was AA. -
From my experiences here the best pizza found is The Pizza Company. Always enough sauce, toppings are good, plenty of them but not to many at the same time. I always order mine extra well done to ensure they are cooked to my liking. I know the OP said he didn't like chain-type pizzas but The Pizza company is worth a go. Right now they have buy one get one free. Last night I had 2, large pizzas with 3 toppings for 560 baht total. 600 including the tip. 300 baht for a large 3 topping pizza is not bad IMO.

BKK-LAX China Airlines Question
itishotiniraq replied to itishotiniraq's topic in Airline Discussion
I am aware that it is a Business Class ticket for approximately $1300. The question was not if this WAS Business Class. The questions was, "does anyone have any experience with China Airlines?" I am also aware of what the prices other airlines are charging at the this moment. I couldn't quote them all off the top of my head but they are in the 55k-122k range for one-way flights to LAX. Not sure what you are doing with your time for starters so hard for me to tell how to get a 'bad deal'. Not sure when I said, 'bad deal', in fact my post starts with, "Found a good deal on China Air -
Found a good deal on China Airlines for BKK to LAX, one-way Business Class for 43,000 baht total. Does anyone have any experience with this airlines? Want to try and be sure 43,000 is not spent on shit if I could have spent 60,000 baht and had a better experience. I know the service won't be on the level with Emirates but just checking around.

Everything is gone except for the BBQ. 20,000 baht is the asking price. I have only a few days to get rid of it.

Yeah, I wil get some pics up. I never even thought of that. Be patient as I am a computer idiot. I wondered also why the bBQ was so expensive but I wanted one so I got it. I am taking the little lady back to America with me. We will be there until winter then back to Thailand. At this point it is looking like 8 months a year USA and the 4 winter months in Thailand. No other reason. I would like to stay but between my family and her, it is time to go. Thanks for the responses and appreciate not ripping me up. I know the prices seem somewhat high but I am definately losing money.

I like David Allan Coe also and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I may not agree with all of his songs but it is not a reflection of who I am or my personality. I can bet there is an artist you like who has lyrics that everyone would not agree with. Just a matter of opinion is all.

Being from Tennessee and working in Iraq I sometimes have an urge for biscuits and gravy, southern style. Is this dish available in Pattaya/Jomtien anywhere? I usually just cook it myself if I am not to hungover but sometimes a man just wants to be lazy. Also, southern United States food? Are there any places aside from the New Orleans on Soi 13/4 that cook that type of food? The black-eyed peas there with cornbread is absolutely delicious. The cornbread could use some work but for Thailand it is excellent.

Thanks sparky. That room looked plenty big for 2 during a 14 day stay. I appreciate the photo's. Did the room come with the laptop? How was the internet connection? Hopefully it was hard-wired in as I have never had good luck with the wi-fi around that town. -
