I see airlines have starting relaxing the total no-mobile rule in-flight but is being relaxed now. some airlines going for combined calls and sms whilst others sms messages only. What you guys you travel regularly think about this. I prefer the way it is now. I can just imagine phones going crazy and beep beep for sms calls coming in and messages returned. i stuffed this poll up, can a mod delete this as there is no delete funtion.

thanks but fly home on 20 april so i will be able to tell you loved the airbus 340-600 as could watch my own movies on laptop with continued power. have to make sure im tired and watch movies when i wake up.

Thai dropped the Airbus 340-600 and replaced from 31 March with a boeing 777. has anyone been on the new plane and is it a old or new plane configuration. i.e personal screens and underseat power plugs in coach.

used to be very happy to stay there but no free internet which is important for me to check in and out. think they want 150b hr

This is a great property. Had breakfast everyday here last trip, best farang breakfast in Udon Thani but this trip to Udon Thani am staying here. I think the rate is 850bt and the owner is very accomodating and very good wifi speeds Will add other photos later. the rooms on their website dont look as good as my pics. IMHO! yes you can look through from the bedroom to the bathroom, just like at the Conrad hotel. Martin, i posted 2 pics on petes post about his new beerbar complex but on this post the file attactment field is not displaying for some reason. thats what i couldnt work out. -
I found this place on the web, just checked in. big flat screen tv, dividing wall between bedroom and bathroom, watch yr girl take a pxxs or ring her sponser, has free internet, they gave me a cable because they said the signal is stronger than the wifi signal. Its owned by the Majestic group and the rate is 2200bt per nite. dont know where the field is to add pics has gone so this post will have to do for now.

http://www.adultsheepfinder.com/ what a blast.a lot of thought has gone into cloning this popular dating site.

thats what i have come to the conclusion with hot websites as well. checking asiarroms, asiatravel, accomline etc for intercontinental in manila it was cheaper booking thru the hotel chains website @ $102 per night where u also earn airmiles. but middleman websites wanted $200+ for a room, no control over room or bedding and no mileage earning. i always check the hotel chains own websites now as is often cheaper or not much more for a better styled room.

I just got a newsletter from thai and i think after sept or oct milage requirement for upgrades is going up and more points will be required on routes using new aircraft. i fly out of nz next week to bkk on a free roundtrip upgrade
-
thanks guys. prob going to book this week with nokair.
-
nope. 2 weeks phils and 2 weeks thailand
-
after writing this this morn, have thought nokair will be better at only 300-600 baht. and you are right for little points differential,
-
I want to fly TG to earn points as my gold status evaluation is up this november so my original question is "would it be cheaper to buy on the street in thailand than thru their website". P.S. I notice the flight originates from Don Maung.
-
Im intending to fly to Udon Thani this July. have done a dummy booking on the thai website and fares are 3140 baht in coach and 4140 in biz class. Are they likely to be cheaper from a bkk travelagent. i want a fare that earns points on TG and am just wondering wether they are likely to be cheaper on the street. thanks floyd.

Jasmine never had joiner fee before i stayed there twice and havent stayed again becos the hot water was never hot. shame as nice place. swiss grottino is great and has free wifi for a cheap stay at soi theres a hotel right in the middle of the soi called the pennyblack and charge about 1000bt per night but i have not stayed there myself. has a latenite bar after everything is closed in bkk with a great kitchen. forgot to add you can get jasmine at good rates on www.wotif.com try this link and see if it works to get you there http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hotel=3958...mp;viewType=all

Melcalito, are you talking suites or grande. booked grande in the past with no problemd but as i check in 11.30pm at night and leave for airport again noonish grande didnt warrant that much expense for such a short stay.
-
thanks guys.i will do that if nothing happens with the last email.
-
I have sent 3 booking requests for 3 different hotels in BKK for one night in June. (dynasty grande(3 x requests, majestic suites and mercure park ave(info on joiners policy - not a booking as such) and have not had one reply from 5 emails. So im having a 4th go at Unico sukhumvit grande - a new property that looks close to majestic grande. i only want one night enroute to Philippines but will be back in BKK/Issan/Ptty after the Phils and if im happy i would stay in one of those properties again. I could go back to old favourites like swiss grottino or majestic grande but want to try somet
