  5. Don't know much about them but had a quick look at some properties of 5 star hotels in Manila and Jakarta and they are offerring some very good rates.
  6. These hotels make me laugh. They say hotel preview and show their best room available (www.flipp[ergroup.com) I wish they would show you a room for all classes. I presume their pictures are the suites or deluxe class. Anybody can comfirm because the rooms on both these properties look fine.
  7. Yes I also checked the reviews on the property and there were 2 for, and 2 against. Funnily the 2 against were the oldest so maybe it got a makeover in between. the photos on the net look very nice. BigDUSA; Yes I will be booking in the next two weelks or so once I have decided where im going to stay. I have never been in Thailand before for New Years Eve so when I learned that Res Gardens was already full I thought fuck it, I will go when they aren't but then I thought nah, I will find somewhere else.
  8. Tried to book Res Gardens but they are full already. I need some ideas, must be nice, decent enough sight view, large room, modern with maybe internet access and in the 1000-1500 baht ain high season. Any ideas guys. I have looked at Nova, Sabai Inn, Amari resort, Sunbeam, Sunshine vista and Green Park. Which ones of those that ARE NOT GUEST FRIENDLY Really liked the look of Green Park. 9. IM checked in here nicely at Solataire. On my registration papers, had 2450 incl service taxes. So we'll see when I check out on Tuesday. Still like the Omni (and their price) but the Solitaire has highspeed internet (free??? dunno yet) and large plasma tv and dvd player.
  10. Does anybody know any reasonable priced hotels apart from from JW Marriot, Conrad and Solitaire that has internet access
  11. Nanapong poster is saying TSM topaz discount is now 1900 baht plus service charges. not much difference between the two rates.

Only valid until 30 April. I am currently trying to get 3 nights for this weekend. 14. I went and bought a loxinfo starter back at Big C today but if im going to download photos while im here I need to know how to resize them. I have a sony cybershot DSC-S70 and I take the photos in the smallest resolution size of 640 x 480 but they are still coming out at around 155 - 170 in size. I tried to make them smaller by editing the size but its still the same size. Can somebody please assist.
  15. Stayed at club bamboo in April 2001. You can access it through http://www.asiatravel.com.
  16. Frederick, there is a jack in the lounge that you can connect your pc or laptop to the net. I didn't try although I was tempted to find out how effective the 28k speed was. You can buy a internet pack from most good bookstores that is provided by thailands best supplier to date, Loxinfo but makesure you get the Pack prefixed for pattaya (038) and not 02 for BKK. There will be a big 038 on the top righthand corner on the fronrt of the pack. The reason I never tried was there was an excellent internet cafe on the left hand side of the residence gardens as you walk out. The speed is great and
  17. Smithy, I took a different girl everynight and not once did they ask the girl for her ID card.
  18. I stayed at the Residence gardens in January for one week. I normally stay at the Pattaya Center Hotel. I like the Pattaya Center because they have big rooms, the tv channels are shite although I believe that has been improved but the rooms are jaded. I opted to stay at the Residence because I was looking for something different. I enjoyed the location, the cleaniness, no hassles, and no bus loads of chinese. Here are the pics if you are thinking of staying there at sometime. Price through the board is 1350 baht. Thanks to Pete and Ben. Another plus are the succulent steaks to be enjoyed fr
  19. When htmail tells me I have a new message, I click the link and then FLB pops up a message "you are not allowed in" Nanaplaza.com you simply click the link and it takes you directly to the thread. I have to read my message by logging in and going to that thread manually. just wondering pete. floyd

  21. Pete does that mean you have to store it at the moment on homestead or similar site. How about emailing to you.
  22. Pete can I become a member too, im too lazy to go to the old board to get the email address. P.S. I like this board, its fast and the messages don't look too clustered.
