Jomtien by far would be my choice, don't worry about baht buses. Beaches are nicer in Jomtien then other areas and much quiter there.

Whats with this new Hotel tried to book a room there and they wanted money deposited into there account to confirm booking.A/C Name: Tawee Ngern Thong.,Ltd. A/C No. 479-2-04534-8 Bank: Thai Military Bank Branch: Pattaya Klang Seems they want this when booking rooms from Oct.16th-Feb28th. Anyone else have this problem? How is a person to know if this is hotel or staff's account number. I think I'll just book again with R.G. very happy there last time, just wanted to check out new hotel.

Hi I have used travellers cheques, cash, ATM, and Visa, also American Express in the past and have found them all ok. American Express I have found some places will not take card very hard to pay dinner bill with no cash. My brother had a hard time with travellers cheque in November, he works in Japan where he got cheques from, but his passport is from Canada. He had to go to bank to cash them. Also his Visa card did not work and they will not punch in numbers on cards. I will be taking 2 ATM Cards as well as 2 different Visa cards and alittle cash but mostly for use in my own Cou
