At least if you go by taxi then you can enjoy your own company. The bus option sounds like it might take a bit longer and you might be the only westerner on there if that flight from Bombay landed a short time before.

There was a sign in a bar that I used to visit in my home town which read "Nobody is ugly after 2am". So if you can get the girl that you are interested in as drunk as you are....

I am not sure about the place with the best exchange rate but there is a money changer in Marine Plaza a few doors away from Coyotees a go go which is open 24 hours. Useful if you run out of money at 2.55am and you are keen to bar fine that girl before the bars close.
