I have two laptops with windows 7, including the one I am posting from. Windows 7 still has some issues 'waking up' sometimes.

Issues such as these usually indicate that you need a driver update for the touch pad. How to do that is not simple as it is difference depending on the brand of laptop and the operating system you are using.

Technical answer is neither. CDex is a simple interface for LAME. I have some good audio equipment and can diffrentiate good and bad recordings. After many experiments, I found that CDex with "LAME -alt preset standard" option gives a very high quality output. I have to agree though that the ears may be playing tricks. They are not getting any younger.

Another vote for CDex. I use CDex to rip to MP3 with LAME options -alt preset standard (you will find this in the configuration menu). When I play the MP3 files on the PS3 through the amp and speakers, I can hardly defrentiate between them and the CD original.

The new Holiday Inn Pattaya has very nice Coffee in the Lobby. A little expensive at 95 baht a cup, but really tasty.

Paid 1999 Baht per room, not including taxes, service charges, or breakfast. It was good for the money. I just took a look at their rates for January and they seem to be up to 4000 Baht. Too much IMHO. I would go elsewhere for that much money. I believe that the hotel was stretching it at 1999 per night based on the other options available. I have to mention that the hotel was very quite and that the curtains were suberb and you could get a very dark room. A position IMO.

Hi Guys. My first post. You need at least one arab in this forum I just returned from my first visit to Pattaya after 7 wonderful days. We were a group of 4 guys and we all stayed at the new Holiday Inn. Superb hotel, very friendly staff, and very guest friendly policy. We all had girls almost every night, nobody gave us any problems and we were not charged any extra. We had to sign a form at the reception absolving the hotel of all responsibillities and they kept the ID of the girls at the reception. That was about it.
