I'm not a beer drinker, but the mixed drinks in Pattaya are very weak. I have a good idea of my limit and could never reach it in Pattaya (even though I should have surpassed it) - they must water down the alcohol.

The Marriott seems like it is close to all the action (actually walking distance to Walking Street). Some of the more recent reviews indicate that it allows visitors without any cost. If you could stay at the Marriott with "points" would you do it? Or should I look for cheaper locations (even if it means taking a bus or cab)? I'm a newbie who is looking to visit later this year and need the help of seasoned veterans. Thanks!!!
