Hi partyanimal, I have been using "Nings" on second road past Big C in the shopping complex by the Dolphin roundabout for about 1 year now, she charges 200 Baht for shampoo, cut and style. I also take my GF in when she deserves a treat, and she loves it. It's not the cheapest you will find, but they speak good English and I have always been happy with the results and left with my ears in original condition… Stephen

For those who like to SMS from a real keyboard like me I have been using TextMessenger for about 2 years in the UK and they have now added international so Thailand is very easy. I get messeages to all Thai networks no problem. A CRASH HELMET and INSURANCE. This is a very serious post, sorry if some will think it’s boring but please read anyway. After spending what has to be the worst 3 days of my life sitting at the bedside of my Thai girlfriend, I really cannot express how important it is to wear crash helmets and also very important to get insurance. My girlfriend only ever wore her helmet when she knew the police may see her, which most of the time I laughed off as TIT. Well after getting a call at 3am on Monday morning from the staff at Memorial hospital, saying she was in A & E, could I come!

Hi SFKnight, Some do many don't .... my personal knowledge is limited as I am a member (1 Baht 1 min, leased line) at the Internet Explorer on Beach Road which has all the readers and you can use for free. I think the same is the case in the Royal Garden as it's the same company. However I know the one in Big-C second floor does not, along with the one in Soi Diamond above super girls does not. I have stayed at the Koenig , rooms from 600 to 800 Baht and very high standard as only a few months old. Internet access no problems at all via photosystem dataport, if you connect with a local ISP using 1222 or an 038 is very cheap for hotels, 20 Baht a connection some times I was on for 5 hours trying to sort problems back in the UK and still only 20 Baht.
