Gents Am looking for one bedroom for Monthly stay April thru May and like all the pictures of The LK group places. Have read a few comments on Metrople and Mansion in the review forum but nothing in depth. My main interest is which of the three is the cleanest and quietest. They all look from the website to be within sight of each other and the Metrople suites priced from 78,000 and 87,000 baht a month or very doable. Have stayed in Jomtien area previous trips and enjoyed the quiet . I know these are located on 2nd road so there will ne traffic noise but if I can get a room or suite high enough would hope that noise would be less. Anyone with info on any of these would be appreciated Joker

Reels , Your correct no balcony but the windows open with view of a garden ,you can get a great smell from the flowers early morning. Using Sugar hut as starting point , cheap eats about 2 minutes by taxi either direction, sorry I can't be more specific since I always cook in the apartment. Real home like feel in these apartments ,great pool on the third floor with view of Jomtien beach area. Locked gate out front at night , a bit out of town and sometime you'll have to walk down the hill about 50 meters to hail a taxi but really works well for me. Thanks for the offer but I arrive March 24 and leave April 11. And by the way emails are answered promptly by a guy named Ben I don't know if he is owner or not but another Ben ,big guy , you call once you arrive at apartment from airport and he lets you in . I usually arrive around 2:00 am in morning but never more than a 5 minute wait . Also no deposit required ,I just reconfirm about 2 weeks before my arrival date. Last year I stayed here for my first time and I couldnt give you one complaint, yes it is a bit more than some are willing to spend but I like my comfort . Hope you enjoy your stay Joker

I have stayed in Arglye Apartmetns last year as well will be staying this year . 1bedroom with everything 1650 baht. Separate living room ,T.V in main room and bedroom. AC all around ,great kitchen, Very quiet. Pool with great view. In room safe. Very independent though, no restaraunt, or front lobby. Room clean with towels daily, sheets changed every other. Up the hill from Sugar hut resort about a 50 meter walk. I love it because it is away from heavy traffic and noise Hope this helps Joker

Perturbed You hit right on the nails head. I too am tired of Pattaya . Of course my retirement is 9 years off and LOS will still be my main destination but not in Pattaya . I too will live in the smaller provinces.LOS weather and food remains at the top of my list but the Pattaya nightlife has so changed since I first saw it in 1991 . But like you also stated everyone to their own. Good luck with your future move. If you find a province to your liking please share the info . Joker

JOKER replied to toom's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
MKGross Thanks for the tip about Mr Toom. I wish to use his service in March. Gentlemangaeoff ..Like to hear your comments also . Thanks Joker -
Mr Toom Thanks for the reply. I'll be contacting you in March for a ride from BKK Airport to PTTY. Do you have a personal email for the reservation process ? Your price of 1200 baht is well appreciated . Talk with you in March Joker

Dotcom I wish I in Pattaya . No I'm still state side but will be there in March . Just want correct info on price . It seems silly for the for the taxi's at the airport to want to charge Jomtien price when I'm just going about 100 meters up the hill from Sugar hut resort. Just don't want Mr Toom to have all the info. Thanks anyway . Joker

Mr Toom I'll be needing to go to Apartment Area about 100 meters from Sugar Hut . Some taxis at airport say this is Jomtien Area and want to charge more .So from BKK airport to this is area in PTTY still 1200 bht? And if yes how does one contact you to set up meet at airport. I'll be arrivng at 11:50 PM .This late hour does not pose a problem does it? Awaiting your info . Thanks Joker

Gents For apartment stay was quoted rates as follows: Water 35 baht per cubic meter. electric 6 baht per unit. Is this accurate? Also I know daily usage depends on your habits, weather, but just a general average cost would be apprecaited .Thank you. Best regards JOKER

Gents For all that gave comments about LK Metropol thanks. 3000 baht for 1 night wouldn't kill me over 3 weeks but saw the ad for Sole Il De Siam , on Soi Pattaya Klang (Soi Boakao) for 20,000 baht for the month for a 1 bedroom . Only had the diagram layout for it but the size is 57sq m. I guess it's part of the Diana Estate Condo people?? The only downside looks like it is near X-Zyte Disco . Any knowledge of this one guys any info would be apprecaited. Also a footnote. IT seems from the same website I pulled up another building they own The Monoca Residence Apartments for 28,000 a month. This building is Pratamnak RD . Supposedly by OD Bowl. I've been by that bowling alley all the time I can't picture this building isn't there a market and laundry by the bowling ?? And help greatly apprecatied JOKER

Gents I have not been able to locate any "inside the room" Pictures of either LK Metropole Or Opey De Place apartments. I see LK has rates of 3000 baht for 1 bedroom . Is this worth it? Also if anyone has stayed there is it quiet for sleeping at night? And since I'm on the subject Nong Aparmtents look nice . Any comments .Thanks JOKER

Mike OK now this clears alot of things up. You see I do not consider myself african american Like alot of black americans do.I know this is often an insult to "true" african people. I travel out of the country because I like too.Not for the sex.Heck you can get that anywhere. But to relax and enjoy a different culture.LOS suits me becasue of the food and people and price.Same as Brazil.I see many African men in my state with the same attitude that you profess and more power to you.I meant no disrespect and I too will retire in Asia. I must mention though that I do find it humerous when I am often put down by African's in the USA for not in their words being "pure" which escapes me since their in the USA chasing women I wouldn't touch. But like I said .More power to you. As for the online thing.I'm sure their has to be a network that you can hook up with. And I was not exaggerating when I said my state has an overbundance of women that fit your catagory .Happy hunting Joker

Mike I too am a black male from the USA.And yes you are entitled to your opinion but come on.Why travel to a ASIAN country in search of a fat white women. My god the Northwest of USA is full of them. You'll have your pick of fat obedient women here. There mostly all on Goverment assistance so you'll have a place to live and free food to eat. Your thinking is a bit amiss .Logically you could go to the european countries to find your liking but to an asian country??True I have been appraoched by some Russian women when I am in LOS but I quickly vacate the area. Your points on black women being loud and having big attitudes I am agreement .But the list of black men that have are just following the "Forbidden fruit" idea that has been going on forever. For me I haven't ever been attracted to white women .had sex with them yes but that was availability. as for black women they just got on my nerves after awhile so I stop completely dating in the USA for the last 5 years. I travel out of the country every 3 to 4 months rotating LOS with Brazil. So Mike your right about fat men griping about fat women and no I'm not fat and never will be but that's my discipline .So let them gripe and you continue to chase your fat white women.Like the old saying goes "They give you shade in the summer and warmth in the winter" Joker

Just some words of advice if anyone is thinking about. Or has dealt with "Pattaya Fan Club" It is an organization ran by a Thia woman Named Pan or Nan I have recieved email from both names . They are married to foriegn men.I have dealt with Fan club 3 times now they are a middleman for deals in Hotels and other venues.I secured a villa thru them for "View Talay " in April of 2003 .Got a great deal for half price and everything went smooth. So I booked 2 additional stays for the same price. My stay in October of 2003 ,problem.I arrived with View Talay having no knowlegde of my reservation ,even though I had faxed the info and sent a answered email a month before my arrival. What had happend is that "Fanclub " and View Talay had a disagreement of some sort so they were no longer doing business together.Well I, the middle party got screwed.I was allowed to stay a couple nights at View Taly but never really settled in because I knew I would had to leave mid holiday.Which brings me to now with my March 2004 holiday already paid for . I have emailed Nan 4 to 5 times with no answer then finally a short note of how they are trying to find me accomodations. No thanks No View Taly I'll find my own.So here lies the battle to get my money refunded.I've been coming to LOS since 91 ,Fanclub of course has only been in business I believe about 4 years .I'll pursue my battle to get my money ,but just a fair warning to others that have tried them or are thinking of it.BEWARE !! Gentlemen I have narrowed it to 2 hotels for my 3 to4 night stay in BKK,before my assault on Pattaya. The Landmark or the J.W. Marriot . read the reviews on the Marriot but saw nothing for the Landmark besides their website. Both 5 star so questions would be guest friendly.I plan on reserving a suite or deluxe room so price is not a problem and I am on the reserved side so no swing from the chandelier type women,Thanks in advance, Joker
