  1. Just wondering if anyone here can help. I'm in thailand on a 60 day tourist visa. I have extended already the extra 30 days. I'm doing volunteer work near the Cambodian border. I understand I can exit thailand and get another 60 day visa and come back? True? Does anyone know if you can get a 60 day tourist visa organized in siem riep. Or do you have to travel all the way to phnom penh?? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Sorry. Should have clarified. Bypassing reception is handy. ONLY when you,ve been with the girl a little while. And never ever with a freelancer.
  3. Just wondering if someone can tell me if feb/march is the high season in pattaya. Am arriving on feb 17. Just wondering how difficult it will be to get a room if i just arrive then. Am trying to book at sutus court but am having no luck getting a reply. Either there full and cant be arsed telling me or its just the normal thai cant give a fuck attitude.
  4. I stayed there six months ago for a few weeks. It was a good. I stayed in zone two which is a bit older but has private entry from another street so if you dont leave your key at reception to can come and go without them really knowing. big rooms and very good value i thought. am trying to book for two weeks again now for a stay in mid to late feb.
  5. Hi guys. Im heading back to pattaya for another 3 weeks after my first visit in February. My question is two fold. - is this time of year busy and so should i book ahead my accomodation.? - can anyone reccomend a good guesthouse or hotel (with big rooms) not to far from the beach and action? Last time i satyed at tropical berts. Rooms were big and close to the beach and had a private entrance. Anything similar with balconies or closer to soi's 10-12 or lk metro.?
  6. Cheers. Yes i think sometimes people forget that not everyone lives in or visits pattaya regurlarly. i mean sure i could have just came and floated with the wind but i figured why not get some opinions of some experienced locals. Sadly i think some of the insolation that pattaya creates has meshed a few brains. NO im not a troll. Yes im a newbie. everyone in this forum was one aswell at some time....thanks cluster
  7. HI I just arrived in pattaya today and went for a walk around. Geeeeez so many freakin bars. How th hell are you supposed to know what each on is? Soi 6 seems pretty seedie, and its the kind of place you go and are expected to pick up a chick? Is that right/ And soi 7 & 8 are a bit more, go for a drink and if you like you can take one home? Is that right? Any opinions on dream teen massage on soi21? Whats with the ladyboys on soi 6/1 Are they dangerous?
  8. HI Just wondering if anyone can tell me if theres an indoor 25m lap pool in or around pattaya that one can go to to swim laps? Also anyhere there is a decent gym open to the public?
  9. Hi Can anyone tell me how to catch the thai airways bus to pattaya from bangkok airport.? Costs, travel time, boarding location etc
  10. LOL. Well i can only imagine you wont forget about the money in your pocket, or the belt strapped around your waist. So you only have to remember where the hidden stash is. If you have trouble remembering one thing. maybe pattaya may not be for you. In my past experiences TC are a big hassle and they charge to change them. If someone steels your crap they aint gonna give the TC's back cos they cant use them. you'll still lose your money.
  11. Screw the TC. Just arrive in bangkok with half your cash. change it and get the other half out of atm when you run out. Obviusly you have to be careful with the cash. When you go out just keep enough in your pocket for your daily use, buy a money belt put a wod in there , some in a safe or saety deposit box in the hotel and or hide some in the seam of your backpack if you have one. Spread it around a bit so if you do get ripped off it wont all go at once.
  12. HI guys. I am going to pattaya at the end of Jan. I am wondering if anyone can reccommend a good hotel guesthouse near the Soi 6 i think it is. (where the action is). Should i book ahead or just wing it when i get there? I dont mind being a few minutes walk away from the happenign Soi's. Am i right in assuming all the action is in soi 6. Or is it spread aroudn a bit? Im looking at something under 1000 baht, guest friendly without a charge, with wifi, friendly atmoshphere, quiet at night, safe, a pool would be good? Any advice at all? Also, these hotels like metro and billabong that ha
