I knew this would happen. My post was an attempt to understand why another post was moved or ignored without explanation and I receive subsequent postings indicating my lack of respect for a senior member and advising me to read the rules. Stayed there for 4 nights in February. Excellent staff, all of the Dynasty hotels have the friendliest staff of people of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Bright rooms, firm mattress, nice balconies and absolutely no problem with guests. Hotel food tasty but as stated above there are better places to eat. Located on soi 13 near second road directly across the soi from the Lek hotel. A bit of noise from the live music at the bar beer on the corner but it's not that loud. I found the stay there quite enjoyable and you can't beat the free transport Dynasty Inn Bangkok direct to Dynasty Inn Pattaya

Not quite correct. With Cathay Pacific specials you do not AAdvantage miles but you do earn Asia Miles as you do with a ticket purchased by a consolidator.(www.asiamiles.com)

Can't seem to make up the mind as to where to stay for my upcomming Feb trip . Thinking about spending a bit and trying the Hard Rock hotel. Can anyone confirm that it is guest friendly? I've heard conflicting reports on other sites. The pool area looks fantastic. 8)

It appears their policy on filling out forms each time a girl is brought back is spotty but they are guest friendly.

"Stayed there again in September and the mystery form materialised. Same girl but this time when she arrived at the hotel to meet me they took her ID and got her to sign a form saying she would not use any of the facilities of the hotel. When I found out I packed my bag and walked down to reception to check out. So they gave her back her ID, tore up the form, gave me a free beer by way of an apology and all was well. Distinguished Gents. Thinking about the Sandy for my next trip in Feb but had a question. I've read some excellent reviews on this hotel. One person however, wrote this: "They check in your guest and fill in a form id which you both sign that says the guest has no right to use any of the hotel facilities." Can anyone confirm this? Seems a small hassle for every girl you bring back, having to sign forms. Also, can't seems to make a reservation via the website, that part of the site won't work.

Love staying in the middle of the action. Don't like too much noise. Is the noise irritating at the Diamond Beach or are most people in a drunken blurr and can't hear anyway? Anybody know which are the quietest rooms at the DB hotel? I realize there will be some noise from the bars, was wondering about the rooms in the back, away from the beach(no beach view) ??? Quiet? Anybody ever stay in these? What about the suites/delux rooms?

Yeah, I spent a week there in July and had a great time. Excellent rooms, big clean pool, friendly staff and no probs with lady guests. Quiet.. No problems with transportation to/from walking street . It's actually close to walking street........ less than a 10 minute ride and the resort offers a free shuttle to walking street 4 times a day. On the return at night all the drivers new the place even before I showed them the taxi card. It 's a place to stay if you desire peace and quiet during the day but at night you can be in the middle of the action in no time.

I say again......if you're at the Dynasty Bangkok and prepay for 2 or more nights at the Dynasty resort Pattaya the shuttle is DIRECT to Dynasty pattaya with no stops. The 350 baht fee is for the return trip only and it goes Dynasty pattaya DIRECT to Dynasty bangkok with no stops. I did it in July. A great value IMO as the Dynasty Pattaya is an excellent place to stay. If you want another hotel in Pattaya then you'll more than likely going to get one of those minibuses that stops numerous times enroute to Pattaya unless you book a taxi/limo which will cost you 10 times as much.
