Hi Bob Depends on what you expect!! Travelled with Etihad on my last 4 visits to Los. I'm not a very fussy person, found the service excellent everytime bar once when they ran out of choice of food on the menu. I wasn't hungry anyway! Flight times were very good, all their flights departed at 10.00am from Manchester, with about a 2 1/2 hour stopover in Abu Dhabi, agree with the previous comments drab airport in Abu dhabi, but has a good point that it's really small, so you don't have to walk much during your changeover. Arrival time in BKK was about 07.30 next day....if you're heading str

Just a bit of advice... The Majority of airlines release only a certain number seats on a flight at certain times. (to retain "Price Fixing") Say a plane has 200 seats they will release seats in say blocks of 50-60 for sale at any 1 time, as they go on sale they start at a really low price and gradually rise to stupid amounts. The emergence of online booking facilities has made it easier for airlines to carry out this process. Also listen to what the travel consultant says to you on the phone..."There is not many seats left available sir, shall I go ahead and book that for you now sir?"

Agree with you there soi unwise, I first flew with Etihad back in 2003, when they were very new flying out from the UK, at the time I only paid £224 from Gatwick, for a return flight as I working in the Travel Industry, one of the excellent perks of doing so, very very cheap flights, The service was exceptional, but as you say further flights were not so exceptional. Rainsberger In my opinion the Manchester to BKK schedule is very good for a non-direct flight, with a maximum stopover of no more than 2 hours, giving you a chance to spread your legs, releive yourself and take your n

This is going to be the 2nd time I fly to LOS with Etihad. It's just been over a year since they started operating from the UK. They're in direct competition with Emirates, but in my opinion many years behind at the moment. Their ground and inflight service is excellent, on my return from BKK I was about 7 kg overweight in my luggage allowance (you see all these beautiful things in LOS you want them all ) no questions asked, a guy in front of me had his hand luggage, laptop and a couple of other items no problems for him to carry on board (Some airlines only allow 1 item and have a stri

Going off Bigmike's advice from my other posting! I've decided that he's right and this is a HOLIDAY! Been looking at the Dusit Resort! Got to admit Bigmike you made me think and I'm changed man! A few Questions!! How far is it from Walking street etc etc?? There is some reviews in the Hotel review section but they're pretty dated!! Is it TG friendly?? OK to bring back your TG without being charged a Joiner Fee?? What sort of Clientele can I expect there?? Families with children??? From the information and pictures in the link in the review I'm tempted

In my opinion and experience guys! I'd reccommend the 1st place to start your search is teletext! I think it's the best place to get the best deals! For my 2nd trip in 2003 I started my search 6 months prior 2 my travel on the internet with the likes of opodo, expedia etc etc etc, was getting all sorts of silly prices back! Then about 4 weeks before my trip, flicking through teletext managed to pick up a flight with Aeroflot (I'm not reccommending) for £306 from LHR via moscow. Now! I don't worry, as I work for a UK tour operator, I get special deals from airlines etc.... I h

Thanks Mike! Do you know if it's the same rate for the rooms on the higher floors. If i remember rightly, I did see rooms that had tiled floors, and they were quite high up in the building, looked bigger in size than the rooms on the lower floors! Omar

I was Gonna add this bit in my earlier posting.... No disrespect to any Man U fans, I'm 1 too, even if only an armchair 1. A few people at work came across this website the other day, after it was all over the news that Glazer was on the warpath to buy all the shares he needed to. (I wasn't paying much attention....) Well, it went like fans would buy some sort of gimmick with an actual value of 10p for the cost of a share in an objective to stop Glazer acheiving his target of 75%. I was offered the chance but declined after realising that these people had just paid approx £20.00 t
