  3. gradually im falling out with klm,, as i normally use them as they are conveinient from my local (teesside airport via amsdam to bangkok) ........ now after trying another route on my return 6 month ago... i now choose teesside - heathrow/gatwick - bkk.. ive just booked a one way next week depart teesside -london-abu dabi- bkk £340 all in with bmi . and etihad..........never flown etihad so dont know nothing about them but there website looks ok.....plus the idea of only doing 6 1/2 hrs from london to abu then the a walk about to stretch the legs for an hr and another 61/2 hrs
  4. i just phoned the number above. they offered me 479 , from teesside to london and on to bkk with eva air return in january05 ( might as well have a look at xmas be rude not to) klm are doing 585 up to 1100 gbp for teesside to amsterdam to bkk and china airways are doing it for 490 for teesside to amsterdam, then bkk all departing within a week... whats eve like anyone??? compared with the likes of klm?? to be honest dont care what the journey is like so long as i get there in one peice, it just means ill have to knock a few sleepers in me , and snore very loud to an
  5. can anyone tell me which atm card is the one i need? after my previous visits i useda uk atm (lloyds tsb) and each visit i withdrew 10.000 bht and was charged 1.50 gbp , this trip i have joined the nationwide and am a bit unsure which card i need ?? some posts on here say a few conflicting reports..regarding wethera link /cirrus or a debit is required, my understanding is that a normal atm card ( uk= link/cirrus) card is the one to go for , they also offer a debit card ( i dont think this is req as this is for buying goods in shops etc as well as use in atms )
  6. i got mine lasererd about 10 weeks ago by the beauty house ,its on 2nd road facing soi6 next door to a big sauna place , they charged me 12000.bht and was told all whiteening for an adult mouth was the same.( i was demanding mine to be cheaper as some are gold and porcelain ones with bridges etc,, ) it took about 45 mins ,painless ,and was very pleased with result.... the dentist also told me that i had a hole in one tooth and i needed a filling, i thought she was just scaming me and after a few quid ,,, well 10 weeks later and im in agony waiting for an appointment to see my r
  7. just got klm teesside to amsterdam then amsterdam to bangkok for 390 gbp =440 all in inc taxes for to a week stay, or if you want a few week extra i just booked klm =teesside to amsterdam , then china airlines to bangkok which i personally prefer for an amazzzeeesing 453 gbp both offers fly out 23 may.. yipeeeeee
  8. i always travel thru teesside, on my way to los/bkk/pat even thou i join a connection to amsterdam ,i have not had any probs, the nearest that customs have been is they called over a fellow traveller to los asked were he had been, asked if he had any cigs ,drink ,and said on your way.... close shave.. but as for foodstuffs i think its a bad move... alternatively posting.......thai post by road 8 weeks=14gbp tnt up to 10 kilos 45 gbp 4 day delivery,, another trip looming roll on........

  10. alright ther archie i fancied the look of honey inn after seeing there website but when i read the hotel reveiws on this board it put me off, so i opted for the areca instead. to find the reveiws click on hotels at the top task bar then hotel reveiws , then pattaya hotels and scroll down until you find whatever hotel you want to read about . plenty of advice there to make you mind up ....gav ;D
  11. i just got one but a bit cheaper :( its fly on the 30 oct . from teesside to amst with klm and then to bkk with china airways .485gbp.. thats inc insurance,taxes,next day ticket delivery,credit card charge..... was getting prices of 590 from klm ,,,same route and 490 from manchester +taxes, etc with two changes.. i booked with travel mood they have some deal with china airways hence decent price............... not long now................ ;D

  13. hi all im due for my second trip at 29 oct and i like the look of the arecalodge in soi dianna inn are they any reports from any members ????? ive checked the reveiws but no reports alternatively can anyone recommend a suitable place all i want is a room safe pool 500-1000 bht /night usual aircon ,fridge, tv,clean bedding last time i stayed at the flipper thanks for your help.........
  14. yeehaaarrr im on me way ive just got a return to bkk for 4.16 GBP thats 485 gbp all in, from teesside uk, inc taxes ,credit card fee ,schedule flight insurance,and next day special delivery, flying out on the 29th with klm/china airways , i was getting prices of between 490 and 650 but with two many stop overs and taking 1half days to arrive now to book a decent hotel
