Be careful. Last time I travelled with my pet I had to pay for 2 seats in Business class as an upgrade at the check in desk. Then they wouldn't allow my Killer Whale in the cabin, and he had to travel in the hold. Said he looked like a trouble maker, but he's dead nice when you get to know him. Jesus H. cats and dogs!!!!!

Came back to the UK with these a couple of days ago. I was on a 747 300, the plane was 3/4 empty and I had 3 seats to myself. Business class, who needs it?? Great service from friendly staff,but we did refuel in Sharjah for 2 hours and we wern't allowed off the plane. Cost was 13'400 baht via Massic travel on 2nd road. VERY highly recommended.

The Amor restaurant in betwen Pattayaland 2 and 3 have a fine selection of cigars, and they are stored correctly. The food is excellent too, if not the location at the entrance to Boystown.

Hi all. I have a pal visiting Pattaya for a couple of months in the near future. He's on a tight(ish) budget and his requirements are for a guest friendly hotel on the baht-bus circuit or close too with the following features: Large in room safe, big enough for a laptop computer. Good size swimming pool with a sun terrace. 24 hour room service. Secure motorbike parking. King-sized double bed. Ic-cold aircon. He can run to around 6-800 per night, but the cheaper the better. Any recomendations/suggestions??

The official price from the taxi-meter booth at the airport to Pattaya is 1200baht. The price is displayed on the counter of the booth but the workers usually try to cover it up with forms or clipboards. Often they ask for extra to pay the tolls. just pay the 1200 official price and give the driver the toll money when in the cab. Hardly rocket science. Btw, this info was correct July 2nd when I returned from Malaysia.

There are still plenty of US serviceman in town. Woo-Wee!!! Whas'up dude!!! Hey maan!! If the free world is in the hands of the guys I was in a beer bar with last night then god help us!! (I know bars were "shut" but we were all drinking beer out of coffee mugs!!). They treated the girls like shit (3 were in tears) and think wearing patterned hankies on their heads is the height of sophistication. In contrast, the slightly older serviceman I met (Ordnance Corps) were unfailingly polite, well mannered and respectful of the girls and other patrons in the bars and Go-Go's.
