I think the population figures posted @ www.citypopulation.de might be "officially" right - that lists all the people enroled on election list of the city & their immediate families. In reality, every Asian city has big portion of "mobile population", taking consideration of these, I think the following guess might be closer -- 1/ Krung Thep 2/ Korat 3/ Chieng Mai 4/ Hat Yai Chon Buri province has 3 on the list, I believe Si Racha has more pple than Ban Lamung (Hat Pattaya), & not sure about Muang Chon Buri though - they can be very close to each other.

I agree !! bird flu had killed 7 Thai pple so far this year, out of 63 million. Sars had killed 146 chinese last year, out of 1.35 billion. bring up the calculator in your computer & do math --- "7/63000000" have a look @ how many zeros there -- that's your chance of catching it while having good time in LOL !!!

Great time !! Totally agree. I just thought some people here would like to know China is the No 1 source of tourist for LOL last year. @ CNY 2003 alone nearly 1 million come - & the figure is estimated to get grown to 2 million in 2 years time. Perhaps some would consider having to share the hotel with 600 chinese guests is too much fun - too much reality !!!! Been there, done that ! no keen to do that again !!!

Hei, I have a question about meteology - does any know is Pattaya ever hit by a typhoon / tropical cyclone ? And/Or how about other parts of Thailand - esp the eastern Bay of Siam ?? Thanx !!!
