  1. Joker, I just spent 2 months in a 2 BR suite at the RG while I was looking for a house. My unit was in the long term stay area of the complex on the 3rd floor. There are 5 floors in the long term area. I am not sure if there are 2 BR units in the building that has the 1 BR daily rentals or not. The 2 Br unit that I was in was very nice and I was very comfortable there. Big living room and kitchen in the center of the unit with a bedroom on each side. Balcony overlooking the second swimming pool. Two bathrooms and plenty of closet and cabinet space in the bedrooms. The
  2. The new FLB Moderator has spoken. :-X I guess I better keep my mouth shut or he is going to ban me. Simon...You do have a problem....Same one as you would have if you wanted to break up with any girl in the world.....If you want to date her neighbor. Sorry......Oh by the way.....just go to another block. ;D PS. Fishingtime...thanks for you suggestion ::) Beach Boy
  3. Mine too! But it's not my girlfriends. Nice wind up guy.
  4. fishingtime, You really make me laugh. A man can be rich and still think something is overpriced. Has nothing to do with being cheap or broke. I know how much I am worth, and a few other board members know so I am not going to say anything else about the insult you have thrown at me. Beach Boy
  5. Baz Tench, Overpriced for me...I paid 75.00 USD. Still even at 58.00 USD I think it is overpriced. Overall the RG is better in my book. The rooms at the hard rock suck and are nothing special at all. I use the room a lot more then I use a pool and anyway the pool at the RG is just fine. Actually, the pool at the RG has friendlier people to talk to. Never stayed at the Flipper so can't compare it to anything. One of the things that is great about Pattaya is that there are so many hotels to choose from. What is good for one person may not be for another. We all
  6. GS I Had a good time at Hard Rock on my last trip but I will tell you that it really is overpriced. Great Service, nice people, great pool, unreal food served by roomservice, but the rooms really are just average. In my opinion you should save your money and find another hotel. I usually stay at the RG and I thought I would just try something different. RG is much better, in my opinion. Now the JWM Hotel in BKK is spendy but worth every Baht. I think you mentioned in one of your posts that you might splurge and spend your first night there. You won't regret it. Hav
  7. In my opinion---nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you feel you have found something special and you are ready to settle with one girl then go for it. If it doesn't work out.....get another one. If it does work out then you have what you wanted. I agree with Joop. It takes time for them to trust us just like it takes time for our trust to develop with them. I just don't want to let myself get hardened to a point that I become jaded and give up. I want a girl to settle down with and I will find her sooner or later. I feel I have one now and I will give it my best s
  8. Davey, If you really want company to Pattaya I could always hire a limo for you with a couple ladies and have them meet you at the airport. We wouldn't want you to be lonely on the trip to Patty See you soon, Beach Boy
  9. I'm looking at my ticket and it say class V. Did Ann at Angel travel screw me??? Beach Boy
  10. I disagree Greg_B, It takes about 30 seconds to figure out how to get the Baht bus from the RG to town and just because it is your first trip to Pataya is no reason to think that you shouldn't stay at the RG. Now if you just want to be in the middle of the action then that is a better reason to stay at the flipper. Both are good places so you really can't lose with any decision.
  11. Great waitresses too, huh Dave? Did the one ever smile after I left ??? The RG is a great place to stay and is really a good value for a suite. Just wish they had a TV in the bedroom.
  12. I was behind a guy who had Visa Travel checks at an exchange booth and they wouldn't take them. I had American Express checks and of course no problem. Also, if you are bringing dollars, don't bring the old hundred dollar bills. I heard there is a problem getting them exchanged. BeachBoy
  13. I budget $300 usd per day. If I was as young as Echster I would probably spend $370 usd per day.....But I always need a nap.
  14. I returned recently from LOS. Spent 10 days in Phuket, 4 days in BKK and 11 days in Pattaya. In my opinion there is no comparison as far as party spots and women. Pattaya is light years ahead of Phuket. BKK was interesting and fun, but I really don't like smelling car fumes all the time. If you want to go to a place that is truly beautiful and has more to offer with outdoor daytime activities, go to Phuket. Personally, My next trip back will be to get to Pattaya as soon as I can after I arrive at the airport! I'm glad I went to Phuket, but now that I've been there I do
  15. I do have to give you guys alot of credit! There is no way I had any energy to play golf when I was just there. Do you play at night and still play golf?
