  1. I am booked in new wing for december as well. Anyone have any info on the sabai lodge's new 6 story wing? Is it done? Is it nice? -JB
  2. Wow! Thanks for all the replies folks. So to sum everything up it seems like the rooms at the Eastinny are a little nicer, but with the flipper specials those might be a bit cheaper. Some like the house and others the lodge because of the sea views at the lodge. I really like the in-room massage option they have at the flipper. Any recommendations on rooms at any of the places? I looked at the flipper web site and they have 2 diff. wings plus deluxe rooms and suites. Reccomendations? Again thanks for all the replies, I was a little worried I was gonna get flamed for starting this t
  3. Ok, assuming I can not stay at Sandy Spring because of the noise, I will be there in July, which is best, which is worst: Flipper Lodge, Flipper House, or Eastinny Place. I am sorta leaning towards flipper house. I have stayed at Flipper lodge b4 and it was ok. Thanks to all- JB
  4. A guy I know says that he gets great suites with big tvs, balconies, etc. for a good price at one of the Eastinny's. I have tried to find some info about these suites online with little luck. I am wondering if he was thinking of some place else or if anyone here knows about this. With the construction on soi 13 I am trying to find someplace nice to stay on another soi. Any info about these suites or other suggestions apreciated. One other question: I have stayed at flipper lodge and thought it was ok. Any opinion on which is better, flipper house or flipper lodge? Thanks to al
  5. I think I would reccoment Majestic over Dynasty although neither are my favorite. Grand President is ok. I like the Manhattan but I am not sure if they are still doing construction next door. If the noise is no longer a problem Manhattan would probably get my vote. I just stayed at the president solitaire and thought it was great. You can get a nice room with a 42 inch plasma tv, DVD player, and free in room internet for about just over 2,000 baht. -JB
  6. So what is the general consensus regarding the Sandy Spring right now? I stayed there over New Years and liked it a lot, also liked the location, but I can't stand construction noise. I am gonna be getting into Pattaya around July 8th do you all think I should stay on another soi? Anyone there right now that can report on the noise issues? I stayed at flipper lodge last year and thought is was alright although I liked SS better. Also I think I like staying not on soi 8. Thanks in advance- JB
  7. North West- what a joke. More like North Worst! I have been flying North West for a long time now, ever since I flew them to India and got suckered into sticking with them because of FF miles. I have used some of those miles for domestic flights no problem, but for international either a ticket or an upgrade, forget about it. I am so angry with them now I don't care about the miles. Even though I have more than enough miles, even for the "rule buster" I am only able to upgrade from econ. one way. Unless of course I purchase a full fare economy ticket (only 2000 dollars!). I won't get into
  8. I know I am in the minority here, but I stayed one night at the Dynasty in BKK and found it very depressing. Small dark rooms just make me feel bad. If the rooms at the Dynasty in Pattaya are the same, I would suggest trying somewhere else. Even the pics of the rooms on the site don't look so great. Why not check out the Flipper on soi 8 or Sandy Spring on soi 13. My 2 cents... JB
