  1. I did end up getting the NW 19/27 - 28/20. I'm not complaining one bit, since it avoids ORD (a good thing!) I'll be looking for some suggestions on a hotel in PTY soon. (i work my way from soi 7 - 8 towards walking st to avoid the clingers, but trying to find something "nicer" this time around) Thanks again for all the help.
  2. Many thanks to those who helped out!! I got a flight from Thaifly.com for $1200 ( including tax, that 9-11 fee, and nwa victim charge : <-- animated gif work? ). From MSP - BKK, June 24th - July 3rd. A bit late to book it. But where I work, they have the right to cancel my vacation request if I don't provide proof of airfare by a certain date. But it all works out so I get two extra days off, making it nine days in paradise!
  3. My mistake was waiting a week to book a flight, NWA had the MSP - BKK for $854 a few days ago, today it's $1900 . Got another quote and it's $1350. My plans are leaving June 24th, and coming back July 3rd. I've read that a few board members post about being in the MSP area, so I'd appreciate any help trying to find a reasonable price, or at least get pointed in the right direction so I can buy the ticket ASAP. Thanks!
  4. I'll just agree with others have said. Food is suprisingly good, in-flight entertainment was good too, imo. (The Rundown was showing last time I flew KE). Flight staff is nice and treats you well for being in Cattle Class. ICN is a very nice airport, free internet terminals to kill some time between the lay over. I have tried to convice my friend to take KE over NWA, but he refuses. (he prefers the MSP-NRT-BKK route) Only thing I can recommend is bring some water to drink, I forgot last time, and had to settle for the little juice cups every 3-4 hours.
  5. http://www.mobissimo.com Searches many airfare sites(orbitz, travelocity, cheaptickets, etc) Or if you know what you are doing. http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch/
  6. www.mobissimo.com Orbitz EVA Air $683.00 Searches may vary on dates. Hope this helps.
  7. I checked out the NWA site, and can't seem to find the $811 deal. My friend is looking for a flight out of MSP to BKK, and we haven't found anything lower then $1250 for early December. I plan on leaving in January, and found a flight on Korean Air for $817 last week.
  8. Speaking of late 2005 for the new Suvarnabhumi airport. 1 year to 1.5 year delay?? Would this also delay the nonstop US to BKK flights? http://nationmultimedia.com/page.arcview.p...05532&usrsess=1
  9. Wow! Good news that they are working on those areas. The westcoast flights would be nice. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open to read any more info when it becomes available.
  10. I was hoping for the ORD-BKK by Thai Air. But any nonstop flight from the US is good enough for me.
  11. Korean Air was good in my experience when I choose them early this year. The flight from ORD-ICN was the longest flight I've been on. But the service they provide was great IMO. Also the flight attendants are nice. The Hollywood movies they show are dubbed and subtitled in Korean, and of couse they show Korean movies too. So if you are on a long haul, bring some something to entertain yourself. This might be a bit more info then you needed. I'm sure others here can provide a good answer too.
