When I stopped getting a freebe in Pattaya

hahaha I had to laugh at your observations Pete.....so many guys sit there waiting and then wonder why other guys get all the good ones! As my Mum used to say...if you don't ask, you don't get! Cheers

I second that.......I have stayed there 5 times over the past year and found that the best room is 207. Not noise as its at the front and above the first floor. But imo, the hotel is great if you are staying 2 or 3 days...location can't be be better, food is good, service friendly, beds comfortable, showers are fine, room is clean, very cheap price, etc. But the hotel is a bit basic for a long stay as it is just a convenient place to take your bar fine. So for me, if I am in town for less than 4 days it will be Secrets and more than 4 days its somewhere a bit more comfortable.

To all you guys in town, I suggest you get along there as Alex really knows how to party..... we had a ball at the one he threw last year at FLB. The time she leaves surely depends on the time the two of you go to sleep. If you get back to the room at 5.00am, then for her to leave at 10.00 is too early. It has never been as issue for me and 9 times out of 10 they go after breakfast, whatever time that happens to be. OK there is the odd one that likes to sneak off early because they have school or boyfriend to attend.

At that time of night, I wouldn't care what the cost of the bf was. If I want the girl, then I would not worry whether the bf is Bht. 200, 400 or 600. Also, after gaving been out drinking for 6 hours, money seems to lose its significance, which is probably why I always go home with an empty pocket.

Never a Thai, but I had a Filipina in Thailand who squirt - she was really embarrassed about it cos we didn't know each other very well and she soaked the sheets.

You still have plenty of time and I suggest you join all the message boards, read as many posts as possibe, visit the websites of the bars and generally find out as much as you can. Then by the time you arrive, you wont spend 3 days finding out where you are. Research is the key for a fun time in LOS as everything is there, its just a case of going in the right direction. Like many of you guys I am thinking about retirement, but for the past couple of years have been in a complete dilemma as to where to where to make home. Having lived most of my life in the Far East (Hong Kong, Bangkok & Singapore), I have narrowed it down to either Thailand or Philippines. But this is where I start to have a problem. Both places have their advantages and disadvantages and I tend to swing slightly towards Thailand but have one major concern. What to do to keep busy during the day. If I move to Pattaya or Phuket and live in a condo, then I can play golf and hang

Can anyone advise what the condition of the rooms in Penthouse Hotel are currently like. A year ago the they were a bit grubby and I was wondering if they have been cleaned-up.

I stayed in Swiss Grottino and loved the room, but the building sucks. Have you tried the Town Lodge on Soi 18 - another designer hotel and looks very good if you dont mind the location

I was considering staying at Penthouse Hotel, but am concerned about the reports that there are too many bugs in the rooms. Does anyone know if they have had the place fumigated recently? Cheers Stormy
