Old expression "A fool and his money soon part" No one in their own country would buy a home or give money to some girlfriend to buy one for them without consulting with realestate broker and lawyer to make sure had clear title to deed and paerwork was proper . These "old : fools think with the wrong head, you can own a house and get seperate deed for it but cannot own land. You can lease it but these guys just trust some stripper they met in bar who loves the "handsome man" to do everything and when something goes wrong they are surprised. I have deed for house but even if I decided to walk away let her have house and land and car I still have money from sale of house in USA and pension from my old government job every month that is in USA bank and I draw out what I need No One can axcess it but me(and a daughter who lives in USA so I will have a monthly income to fall back on. Those that make no back up or contingency plans for the unexpected , put their trust in girl from another culture and world without any safe gurds is looking for a sad ending.

I would book it now, with oil prices going up could get a lot higher. $777 is not a great price but not bad from Boston. I flew over in Jan for $640 on NWA but was a sale price and gas was much lower then. For discount hotels try www.Asiatravel.com

If your down in Pattaya go to Koh Larn by high speed boat can rent for about $30 USD ,good for a day trip . For a nice island try Phi Phi ,about 2 hrs from Phuket by boat from Phuket or Phang Nga also about 2 hrs and costs about 600 baht from Phuket for a day tour. Can make hotel reservations for longer stays. Phuket is nice, Patong Beach has the nightlife but if you want something more quite and pretty try Kamala or Karon Beaches there.

Whish they would stay open to 4am again, I don't even drink(or smoke or do drugs) but liked to hang with my friends and sometime if got up late in afternoon or could not sleep I 8) knew I could go somewhere order a coke and sit and chat with thai girl or Farangs or go disco. They need to go back to 4am closing.

HI, don't see what the problem is no matter what she is, if only coming over for a 3 to 6 month visit just enjoy your time togther. If something more developes so be it. I just had Buddist marrige cerimony in March , she will be coming here in nov on fiancee visa but if she doesn't like it here she can go back. Been going to Thailand and have known her and some other girls since April 2000. 2 of my friends already married Thai girls ( one college other bar girl) and they have a kid by them and are both happy. My girl from good family is why had to have marrige cerimony there befor she came over(could not live with guy and not be married :) College girl with batchelors degree in business ---dont see any problem bringing your girl over for long visit except falling in love with her. :)
