  1. well we turned up at VFS yesterday to receive the result of our visa application and as I have stated before I was not confident as over twenty pages of mainly financial documents had been omitted from the application. it stated visa refused due to not enough proof of funds,V4.2 (e) of appendix V before my wife had received the result I asked the VFS staff why some of the critical documents were not forwarded on to UKV1. (I have lodged a complaint the day after we realised what they had done, and as you cannot contact VFS or UKV1) it appeared a more senior staff member came to the desk to ask me what the problem was and I explained that VFS had omitted vital documents, she listened to what happened and then said it was my wifes fault as she should of checked and I replied that she had gone to get the biometrics done and so did not see them select what documents they were going to forward and what ones they put back in the plastic folder. I also asked if they now expect customers to count the papers and check the VFS staff have done their job I also asked if she went to the post office did she sit and wait for the van to pick up the post arrives and make sure her letter had been included. she told us we could apply again but no difference no explanation no apology so it looks like these are the new guidelines if they do something they have no authority to do its your fault. pantomime just about with about six security standing very close we only needed my wife to shout "he's behind you" and we would of had a show.
  2. i have since found out that VFS has no right to remove any documents but they have done this before as they by removing key documents are making it near immposible to atain a visa, i have lodged a formal complaint, the fact that they only agree to reply within twenty days is not reassuring but i will contact the british consul direct as i have had dealings with them in the past and have found the staff more than helpful. and if needed i will contact my mp in england as i have in the past with good results. i will also let people know to check their folders before leaving the VFS office as if this has been done before and is obviously interfering with applications it is a human rights violation and needs to be eradicated..

  4. well we went for the wifes interview at VFS in Bangkok on the 15/06/2016 and it seemed to go ok with very few questions asked by the two VFS staff who spoke to the wife. and we headed home and when i took the envelopes out of the plastic folder i was supprised to find that a few important documents had not been passed on to the embassy, including our thai bank statements my english bank statement. the letter confirming our place we are staying during the holiday. the letters from my family explaining the excitement my eight grandkids are going through because they have seen her on skype and spoken but with luck we will all meet when we reach the uk. even my state pension and private pension statements were returned, all these documents have not been forwarded to the embassy i asked the wife and she said the two VFS staff went through the whole folder and seemed to make notes, so maybe they check certain aspects of the application and then forward the rest of the paperwork, but if not there is no way an honest asessment can be made without my proof of funds if any body can explain what is going on as the guide/help page is a bit vague and does not answer any queries. thanks.
