  1. I have stayed at Hard Rock and Siam Bayview. Hard Rock had the best service of any place I have ever stayed....Ever. Rooms were a bit smaller than I had hoped however. Siam Bayview Had the best rooms and very nice friendly staff, they were even friendly to my BG all the time they were adding 600 baht joiner fee to my room total each night. NEXT! I am planning on staying this March at the Lido Beach Hotel right behind Starbucks. Hoping this finally has the location I have been looking for, and still have some good rooms. Anyone been there? thanks, WB
  2. Greg, Growler, Thank you for the opinions, I think I will give Nana a try then with one of the deluxe rooms. Besides, staying at least once at Nana hotel seems to be a form of right of passage for any selfrespecting Punter.
  3. Soi 7, I would disagree here, I have not been to Thailand, or Pattaya for that matter, 20 times like yourself, but I have spent a fair amount of time in places like Mexico, Brazil, and of course USA. And I have never felt more safe than when I was in Thailand. Of course if your doing something stupid or making yourself a walking target, dropping baht out of both pockets cuz you had 13 drinks to many, then ya, I guess. But as a rule, Thailand is fairly safe compared to alternatives. WB
  4. Thanks C, I stayed in a Topaz Suit in Tower 3 the last time and was very happy with it. And at 1490b if I can get it, it would be worth it. Everything else is over priced your right, and the older rooms in Tower 1 and 2 come with the not so charming birds chearping at 5:30 AM. I was also considering the Majestic for 1290b, but after 22+ hours of flight time, I want to make sure the room is comfortable for a couple of days before I head down to Pattaya. But thanks for the responce. WB
  5. I heard that Grand President in BKK was now charging joiner fees. Does anyone know if this is true? WB
  6. ??? I had read of some changes being made to the Full Moon Parties and I had plans on going to Koh Samui for that reason. I am getting this information from the BKK Post and here is the link to the story. www.bangkokpost.com/230202_News/23Feb2002_news21.html Hope this works, the link I mean, but I am hoping someone on this board has some more detail on this possiable wet blanket.
