  1. At that time I am sure you will be paying for the full night. Book a head of time, a cheap place, you only need a room to lay down in. As js007 has suggested. Tim Boutique hotel, I have stayed there and for the money maybe not worth it. They do however have one of the best little pools in Pattaya, and the staff is super friendly, breakfest is a cut above par, but still on the high side in comparison to what you are getting and what your there for.
  2. Great deal, but you do get into Singapor at 1:15 AM and don't get to BKK till much later that same day, same going back, adds an additional 24 hours to your already long flight plan.
  3. Thanks for posting the photo's Adam. They look real good, and if you in any other ago go's then please post more.
  4. Thanks for posting Adam, I am shy about my age, but would like to meet a lot of board members once and some twice even . Hope to meet you there. I will be easy to spot with the red hat and big W on. stop by and say hi.
  5. Actually I always thought that a good looking Russian gal was asking for even more than that. I don't go to Pattaya for white Russian chicks so I guess I never paid that much attention to the cost.
  6. Sweden, tell me about this cocktail scam, are you just talking about stuffing your bin with slips or over priced cocktails, what exactly are you talking about?
  7. Nice job Adam, just keep it all going for another 2 months!! See you then.
  8. Thanks for that Hub. Charge for Wi Fi? And overpay for room?
  9. Thanks Guys, just the info I wanted. I have stayed TO close to the action and found it to noisy, and I have stayed to far away for my taste, and I have stayed at less than guest friendly places too. So for this trip I was going for Location and guest friendly along with a good room and pool, price was not the main concern this time. But as long as we talking over priced, try Hard Rock. I know I could save money for other things, but if I do that, then I will just go all the way to the other extreme and find a good guest house. So, ahh, how late does the pool stay open and does tha
  10. Anyone try this one yet? Tim Boutique Hotel. Guest Friendly?
  11. great idea's all of you. I think that Swiss Grottino place has my interest. We'll give it a try and let you know.
  12. Thank you gentlemen for the advice. Somerset Lake Point really looks like a good deal there CT. If I must end up in BKK for a few days, I will use it. But I may get out of it now and stay the whole trip in Patt's.
  13. Can anyone recommend a place to stay within walking distance of Soi Cowboy that is nice, friendly and under 3000 baht?
  14. Well that's kinda what I was thinking. Some girls don't bother quoting me a price because they fear I just might pay it!!
  15. Ya, I read that before, not sure I believe it.
  16. I would not stay one night in BKK and then down to Pattaya. Either plan on staying a couple of nights and enjoy yourself there or not at all. I know after that long of a flight you may not want to spend another couple of hours getting down to Pattaya, so I understand. But there are a few boardies that can put you on to a good taxi situation, and I think you'll find it easier to take a nap going down to Pattaya. It won't be so bad. Plus, when it comes to leaving, I have done both. I have left from Pattaya directly to airport and gone back to BKK for the last night. On my next trip, I wil
  17. Excellent report Monkeyman, keep'em coming.
  18. It's called training your service staff. Train them to read visual clues and how to respond. If I am looking around to catch the eye of a service girl, it means I want something. If I am happily talking with someone , it may mean I don't want to be interuped. It mainly comes down to being on the job and observent of what is happening. You can be 10 meters away and still be available for service if the punter wants service when your watching for clues. You don't have to be a shadow as Dave pointed out. Some people are born with these basic skills and wonder why others have a ha
  19. got any room lift and do you have to draft live at the bar?
  20. Somehow I don't find this a problem. Keep'em coming I say!
  21. Jolly, It has been said a number of times on this board, but it is worth mentioning to the newbie. When you are going home, getting back on the plane, you will need 500 baht to get the exit stamp. So bring at least that much in baht when you show up at the airport. Cloths, I bring about 5 days worth, buy some there, and use the cheap laundry services. This will allow you more room to pack stuff you buy when your there.
  22. Thanks guys, Actually SV, I was trying to get into Sunshine Hotel first, but haven't heard back from them so I was checking around and found this Sunbeam deal. I think the rates are a bit better at Sunshine too. So I think again I will try to call and see if I can get something going that way.
  23. looking for advice on staying at the Sumbeam Hotel, got a rate from R24 at 2100 bath for deluxe room. I liked the location, and wanted a nice place to stay, so price looks like OK, but I have read that some people have paid guest fee 300b and others have not had to pay. thanks,
