I once went to a bar in Bangkok - spent an hour or so buying drinks, food to a delectable miss only to be told by the young lady that she .."never went with customers". All signs - dress etc indicated she was available. No way of knowing unless she was buzzed immediately upon entering the place. I think that it was the management's responsibility to make information like this clear or not to employ young ladies like this.
