As I'm sure that most of you will know what it's like up here with regard to snatch. It's obviously not as goog as Pats, but its different. There are some real lookers up here and they seem more nice than from the rest of the country...probably just my biased opinion. rates are cheap for booze and the chicks.

ya = drug ba= crazy crazy drug. A form of speed/crack that is used in Thailand. Dangerous drug if used alot. The real addicts smoke it. It is also very, very cheap. the reason why it was in the Chiang Mai news is because most of it is produced in Burma and smuggled across the Northern Thai border and then distributed down south to where the population is. since the governments "War on drugs" where there were over 2,500 ex judicial killings, it has been getting harder to find. It is really nasty stuff.Even the most placid of people have been known to do crazy things after a good session and have dramatic mood swings. I was told by a Thai lady that her brotther had a real yaba problem. After one long session, her brother did not sleep for 5 days as he thought ghosts were out to get him.

Gun ownership in Thailand

Skytrooper, This will be my last post to you on this subject.I'm sure the members here will sigh with relief. Of all your posts on this forum about pattaya, 90% are of a political nature and nothing about Pattaya or the night life. I have fallen for this trap as well. It will not continue. You were convicted of illegally possessing 69 guns, 60,000 rounds of ammo and explosive material. You also obtained a gun using a fake drivers licence. You waived your right to a jury trial and agreed to present your case to a U.S. District Judge. You represented yourself for most your District court appearance, firing your court-appointed lawyer after she requested a psychiatric evaluation without your consent Did you want to start a war somewhere? Were you about to go postal? 68 guns not enough for you? ไà¸à¹‰à¸„วาย -

RLB, This is what I have been told, so it's second hand There is actually a way of owning guns here. Normally through a gun club that is controlled by the Army. To be able to take a gun home from the club, I have been told that you must be a permanent resident and own a company to have this privilege. However, as you know, you can do or get anything here if you have the money. As for the importation of fire arms, I do not have a clue.I imagine it would be very hard to do so without greasing the right palms. This would be regardless on what the Law states. -

Skytrooper, QUOTE Genealogy is a different matter. In my experience (buttressed by folks on this board), most people obsessed with genealogy have led undistinguished lives and seek to compensate by basking in whatever past accomplishments may have been performed by their ancestors. QUOTE When eleven companies of grenadiers and light infantry (the cream of the British army) sought to confiscate privately-held firearms at Lexington and Concord on 19 April 1775, my gallant ancestors killed many of them and chased the survivors back to Boston. They waged a successful revolution so their progeny wouldn’t have to be “poms†and live as you do, as a craven subject of a tyrannical government, with no individual rights, just whatever "privileges" your rulers grant, curtail or withdraw at their whim. Just answer the question, 10 words or less would be great. One minute you are talking about how proud you are of you ANCESTORS' in 1775, the next thing you are talking about people being obsessed about genealogy. Is this because you are embarrassed about where you roots really are? As I said before..just answer the question. Who gives a shit which country is closer. Why would you mention that? NZ is not the worlds policeman. Again, just answer the question, why was the USA so quick in the hunt for Saddam, and did nothing about Pol Pot. Your knowledge of world events are indeed superior to mine, but I guarantee I know more about your country than you will ever know about mine. It never ceases to amaze me how people like yourself thinks that the world begins and ends in their own country. You mentioned how you put some people in the prison hospital, after an incident. Why would you tell me that if you were not trying to show how "tough" you were? Now lets try and answer these questions in a concise and straight forward manner, without calling people nasty names. There's a good chap. -

1) Kiwis and Aussies also gave their lives in Vietnam. Your tone in previous threads makes light of there being in Vietnam at all.Thats the impression you give. 2)Why would you bring up sociopathic mesomorphs in jail...WTF? To show how tough you are? Want a piece of you? 3) Seems you are basking in the sun of a few of your ancestors here. 4)Even psychopaths have a good side 5)I thought that most nations were fighting for their national survival. What many people find hard to understand, is when a ruthless man like Pol Pot is looked over yet Saddam gets it full blast. For the record, Saddam and his ilk deserve everthing they get. 6)You have trouble deciphering Aussie/Kiwi/Brit gutterspeak? No gutterspeak here mate. As I said before, the world does not begin and end in the USA.We find it equally as difficult deciphering Americans at times.Funny how it's called English. And no, I'm not a snitch, but reading what you have written does make me think about it. As for the quote, google it, (or at least the author) You might learn something that does not involve the USA. -

What do you think they were there for? Idiot .I'm very surprised that you did not see any Kiwis in Vietnam. They were there to support their Allies (and maybe to fight communism) I'm sure that in this day and age that their thoughts on communism has diminished some what. I've called many yanks yanks. Don't be a big girl. Political correctness has gone wild in your USA. I'm not too worried about the sumo either mate. The plausible connection to this thread? Are you for real? You were giving every other nation a hard time about their past war efforts. Think about it mate.I never mentioned Iraq in this context, why do you? You are uninterested in your genealogy prior to 1775. Why, did everything stop there or was it getting to the parts that you don't like. Yes, good lad, pick the part of your history that you like. Well you can mark my words old son, go to a RSA in NZ and repeat what you have said and I'm sure that some of the old buggers in there will try for a piece of you. As for the definition of mate. I'm sorry to inform you that the English language does not begin and end in America. Your right there mate, it probably does not appear in "American English" dictionary. I have no connection to other members of this forum. Why do you keep mentioning them? You are not the only person that donated more then they could afford. As for my retraction of dobbing you in..it was probably heat of the moment stuff. I suppose somebody like you has never done this. KA MATE! KA MATE! KA ORA, KA ORA! KA MATE! KA MATE! KA ORA, KA ORA! I have no distain for people reading books.Where did I say that? I just have distain towards some people. Nips = Japanese yanks =Americans poms = english Aussies = australians kiwis= NZ You are getting into political correctness now? Wonders will never cease. Dosn't change the fact that if the JAPANESE did not bomb pearl harbour, it could of been years,if at all, that America joined the war. I am not doubting the rational behind the weapons that America gifted to the Allied forces though. Your heritage only goes back to 1775? Where did your family come from before that..say 1500's. Surely you can trace your lineage before that? Were your ancestors from England or Europe by any chance? Like I said before, how far do you want to go back. I have never been in the Military service. Never stated that I was either.Does this mean I am not allowed an opinion? Every NZ'er that fought in Vietnam was a volunteer...same as you mate. I have met two of them. I would be very surprised if they had the same attitude that you do today. As for you being wrongly imprisoned, I'm sure Amnesty International or some other left wing outfit will be only too happy to hear about your past problems. I would be more interested in finding out how you have tried to clear your name, than to hear about another "gun touting American" that's had 19 tours of duty and still lives in the past. I was probably a little harsh about saying I would dob you in.I wouldn't, but i would feel alot happier if you did not travel to Thailand if you were to have a gun in your possession. From where I come from the term "mate" does not always mean friend. It's a local phrase that has now been entered into the Oxford Dic. Get used to it. It is used often and in everyday language. Frightfully sorry that we do not speak "American English". Those are my principles. If you don't like them I have others Groucho -

Skytrooper, You may have spent many , many hours with your nose in books, but this means nothing as to your character. If it wasn't for the Nips attaching Pearl Harbour, you'd still be home on the range chewing on a pce of straw. So you would walk up to a widow of someone that gave their life and tell them that they "Had to fight...etc" Bollocks! As for the Thai Law and Tourist visas, do you really think that if somebody had a word to Imm. Police, that they would turn a blind eye to you?..You are much mistaken. If I had your name, I would be the first to dob you in. As for what you were done for, I could not give a rats arse. You were trialed and went to jail.End of story. You are a criminal. America saves the world....where did you come from. You started out as poms anyway. Didn't the poms and aussies join the USA in Iraq ? Didn't Tony Blair get a standing ovation in YOUR house? As for American bashing, take it like a man. Most of the negativity about America stems from foreign policy and is not about the people.Keep your guns in your own country. It also sounds like that you guys never made a mistake in history.Must be pretty hard to be perfect mate. Bazle, you are of course correct. My boy, when I want to play with a prick, I'll play with my own. WC Fields. -

Skytrooper, how can you come to live in Thailand? If you have done a "stretch" ,under current Thai immigration law, it would be illegal for you to enter Thailand. How you can denegrate the Poms and Aussies (And Kiwis for that matter) is beyond me. I suppose you can talk face to face with the families of the soldiers of WW2 and Vietnam that lost there lives fighting ALONGSIDE Americans!! As far as history goes, how far do you want to go back...50years, 100years..500years...... You are the very reason why so many people do not like (Some) Americans.
