  1. The "Pussy Show" cracks my ass up. We saw the frog and the goldfish thing. Actually the gal missed the fishbowl and the fish landed on my friends arm. We laughed so hard, he ran to the bathroom to sterelize his forearm. We were only there about 20 minutes, but I'm sure I had a full ab workout from all the contraction. About Heavens, I saw their website and the gals look great. We're definitely checking the place out our first night back in Pattaya. Later! - Loopz
  2. I liked the ending quote. MMMmmm... Tacos and Burritos. Definately a drunken delicacy. I will take 3... or 10. - Loopz
  3. OoO... a fellow St. Louisan. I haven't been to that Thai market. I've purchased Thai goods in the Kirkwood market, though. It's probably just trouble adjusting to the foreign food... a lot of people get it, including me. Not to mention I'm VERY sensitive to most seafood, so even eating Thai food here that has any fish sauce or the like in it really tap dances on my bowels. I stayed at Gulf Siam at the very north of the Beach Street, I was very happy with the cleanliness, professional staff, and had no girl trouble at all. Even on New Years the place was pretty serene.. I had a big
  4. Bah, as interesting as it is to me since I love these places, I have to say in the end I don't care much. I still love the Showcase and I've always known the Captain for working there anyway. So, I'll be kicking back enjoying drinks at my favorite spot. I don't really have any reason to care about their business disputes although I don't blame the Captain for wanting to have a rebuttal since he's obviously the one who has been running the places, anyway. The best advice here is that my lovely LDS ladies are not being seperated. - Loopz
  5. Yeah, I was hoping for a bit more in this Nightmarch. I have to admit, it was interesting and high-end gossip considering the places involved. I have met the "Captain" and am a HUGE fan of both Living Dolls. I don't think I've spent one night in Pattaya without at least stopping by and I love the women at the showcase...absolutely gorgeous. That said, I don't know if anyone involved would appreciate this being broadcasted to everyone, and many people have no idea who any of the people are involved anyway. Do "Captain" and "Alan" know about this? I'd hope someone on here isn't going
  6. I've had good fun telling the gals where I'm from or my name... on nights out, we've went by the names Dudley, Dorkus, Homer Simpson, Aristotle, Pee-Wee, Tickles, Touch, and Darth Vader and his son Luke Skywalker. It's immature, I suppose, but hell its not hard to get away with and it's a great laugh to hear some gal hollering for "Darth Vader" across the room. We've probably claimed to be from every country in the world, and even Mars. (Which usually just gets a strange look but they seem to either give up or go along with it, thinking they're just misunderstanding, I guess...) A
  7. Just thought I'd ask this, gas prices have skyrocketed in the US the past couple weeks.... Last time I was in Thailand they were about the same in the US as they were in LOS. I just wonder, is it going to be more expensive to hire a taxi around LOS since gas has jumped up so high? I'm not leaving for awhile, just wondering if anyone over there now can see any major changes. Thanks ~Loopz
  8. Haha, doubtful Hammer. Everyone including myself enjoys your trip reports. But maybe they jacked your name. ~Loopz
  9. Well, if I needed my equipment I'd lug it around. Never had to walk far anyway, the 'net cafes are pretty much everywhere. ~Loopz
  10. I rented a motorbike for months in my Thailand stays, but I lived in Hua Hin. I would probably say out of everywhere in Thailand, Pattaya looked like the most frustrating place to ride. I'm the only one I know who has not been in a motorbike/cycle accident in Thailand. Wear helmets, be very alert. A guy I know was driving down the highway when a stray dog ran right out in front of him, hit the dog, yelped (the dog, but he probably did, too...), and polish-wheelied face first right over the handlebars. He's laying out in the highway when two Thai women run over.....to the dog. I'l
  11. When I was in Thailand, I tried both the internet cards and cafes, I preferred the cafes. The best idea in my opinion is to just go around and find a cafe that will let you plug in..it'll be faster and its more reliable. Busy signals and stuff can be a problem, at least they were where I was staying at. Besides, the place I was staying at charged like 20 or 25 baht to place the call when I dialed out. After that cost I could have used the internet for like an hour at the cafe. ~Loopz
  12. Yeah, they say round trip from US to Asia for 60,000 miles... but you'll never find anything without the "Rule Buster" thing. They're part of an alliance with Delta, Japan Air and some others... but I don't know how to free the miles up to use with those or anything. But I would say if this is possible, then its probably better to try to transfer your miles into the skymiles (or whatever its called) program or just try to use them for a one way and pay the rest, like someone else suggested. ~Loopz
  13. That's one of my favorite things about travelling in LOS... nobody cares whre you're from! I met people from everywhere in my experiences... Aussies, Irish, British, French, Canadian, American, Norwegian, German, wherever. And in Patts, everyone's there for the same reasons anyway, right? I don't really know of any places that are "American" hangouts, but the "McDonalds" comment gave me a nice laugh. ~Loopz
  14. After spending 10 months in Thailand and going to most major spots, I have to say I haven't found hardly any loyalty with Thai women that I've met. But then again, like someone hinted at earlier, when you're farang don't expect to, either. I was lucky enough to spend a good amount of time in Thailand to soak in the culture, some language, and the attitudes of the people before I was introduced to Pattaya and the bargirl scene. I haven't been burned and probably won't since I know how it all works now... but they can sure put on a facinating illusion. Chances are they've worked the s
  15. I'd second that about the train sleepers... Chaing Mai is a fun place to visit! The train ride is about 12 hours. Make sure you book your sleeper early enough in advance, they'll fill up quick the last day in my experience. I had to ride back from Chaing Mai in second class, and I tell you what, trying to sleep overnight in December in an old seat on that train was nearly impossible! Flying is faster, but if the view is much nicer on the train ride (and cheaper!) if you have the time to do it. Have a great time! Loopz
