Unfortunately I'm still 76 days away. Beach road at 4 in the morning... sounds like my kind of place.
-
Thanks again Lemons. I'll surely say hi for you.
-
What are they going to keep an eye on? Maybe they want to keep track of the construction progress (or lack there of).
-
I think it looks like how I feel as my trip to LOS is getting closer.
-
What part of Beach Road is under construction?

Hey, thanks for the valuable feedback. I guess I'll continue to look into it before booking anything. For you guys that have used these small airlines around LOS and neighboring countries, what are my chances of just waiting until I get to LOS before booking my trip to Singapore? Would I be able to get a ticket with 2 week lead time durring late November? Thank again.

For those interested. I did in fact book at Ma Maison. I am getting thier mini-suite for the 1100 baht. I hope it's worth it. Overall it looks to be a nice little place. Only thing I'm wondering now is, if I get there and feel I've made a bad choice, how easy would it be, mid Nov, to find another hotel. I guess I'll have to wait and see. Thanks for the input.

Fasteddy, I am going to be in Pattaya for 3 weeks Nov 19 - Dec 10. I believe I'm going to book at Ma Maison. It looks very nice, and I agree with you, the food sounds good. I'm more leaning towards this smaller type hotel, with the resturant and all. Although I could be very wrong, for this is my FIRST trip to LOS, and I'm basing all my plans on a lot of luck and a prayer. I don't think they charge for guests either, from everything I've heard. I just sent them an email and asked if they do. I'll let you know what they say about guests.

kutetee I did in fact check them out. They didn't have the flight times I need, plus they are more expensive. I found an even better deal with Air Asia for just under 4000 baht total, round trip. I think I'll book with them. Plus they had a greater variety of flight times to choose from. Thanks.

Braggsaw, thanks for the feedback. I in fact did check Air Asia just now. I hadn't previously. They are the cheapest I've seen for BKK to Singapore. Thanks for the tip. I'm goint to go with them. For the short flight, I'm not that concerned with ammenities. I'd rather save the cash for sanuk. Again, thanks for the responce and guidance.

Great suggestion marcortez. After seeing the devistation on the gulfcoast, you prompted me to finally book my ticket to LOS I'd been hoping the fare would drop a little further, but Katrina clinched the imposibility of fares dropping any more I think. In any case, I think I got a pretty good fare from what I've been seeing the last couple months. From Chicago to BKK, departure in mid-november, I got a $886 fare (KAL 3.5 hour stop-over in Seoul))on Travelocity. So, thanks for the "wake-up call" to get off my butt, and book my ticket. I"M COMIN' TO LOS!!!

Has anybody ever flew with or have any feedback about Valuair or Jetstar Asia? I'm planning a short visit to Singapore while I'm in LOS, and these two airlines came up in my search. Fairly reasonable too, about 6100 baht round trip. Thai Air is looking for more than 10,000 baht round trip. Thanks.

Does anyone have any experience with the Hillside resort? Any info or feedback? Thanks.
-
Griffo, Sorry, I'm not going to be in LOS until November, but I had a question for you. Some time ago you inquired about the Hillside reort. Did you ever end up staying there? If so, what did you think. I'm thinking of booking 18 nights there. Let me know if you could. Thanks.

forever, i'm not arriving until Nov, but I was wondering how and with who you made your arrangement for car to Pattaya for that early morning hour. I'm also arriving arround midnight, and was considering staying in BKK for the night due to the late hour. thanks.
