Mingaladon airport is in Myanmar, (formerly Burma) and Yangon, (formerly Rangoon) · The country Myanmar came in force internationally in 1989 although the locals always refer to their homeland as Myanmar and not Burma. best of luck!!! Oh here is some more info i managed to dig up for ya mate! Yangon (RGN) Mingaladon Airport 12 miles from city. Airport facilities include restaurant, bar, snack bar, bank, post office, duty-free shop & tourist information. Travel to city by taxi (not always available) or by bus # 9, departing every 15 mins. Ride time – 30 mins. B
  2. Hi Gang, i am attempting to book a flight out to LOS from UK around the 23rd August, availability not an issue as such as neither is the ticket price! But here is the dilemma: I usually fly emirates! and the double air miles offer when booking online direct with them is great! however i am needing to take quite a lot of excess baggage as i am going to be staying over there apart from a very quick trip back here at Christmas! on enquiring i have been informed by Emirates that even pre booked excess baggage is charged at the rate of £25.00 per kilo!   3. Hi Clark, You should consider the Residence Gardens! Not only is the place excellent in every respect, but a pc hook up there is simplicity itself! There are 2 phone sockets one in the lounge and also one in the bedroom. I take my laptop and always stay there, nevr had a problem yet witht he connection and was getting 48/49 on every connection. I used a loxinfo package that gives 20 hours online for around 180 baht if i remember correctly. These can be bought in most of the internet cafe's and also the software shops in and around Pattaya The cost of connection in the hotel

I always Book My emirates flights online at www.travelmood.com, i have searched for lower prices for Emirates Airlines and have nevr been able to come up with anything for less then Travelmood have been able to offer! I agree with you 100% about the service on Emirates i have always been really impressed, and i love Dubai connections, that airport has to be one of the cleanest and certainly has fantastic duty free goods on offer from Pens to a Porche!   9. Frederick, Just thought i would let you know in case your not aware that the Residence Gardens has a Monthly Rate of 30,000 Baht for 30 nights stay (Low Season). Which is a great saving of 9000 baht on the already excellent rate given just for being a member of this board of 1300 baht per night! Take Care Dave G
  10. Hi Mate! Thanks for the reply! I actually do have checkin luggage to collect mate! and to be honest i wouldn't expect you to have to hang around waiting at Don Muang anyway! Please just go ahead hop on the minibus and get yourself down to Pattaya! Perhaps we can share a beer or two in the FLB that evening around 8.00 - 8.30 or so if you like!!   12. I would suggest you give the Dynasty Inn or Nana Hotel at try! They are both so close to the NanaPlaza you could fall out of each hotel and straight into a bar! Hi Bud i will also be arriving on the 19th of april around an hour after you actually 12.25 on the Emirates flight from Manchester (England) Via Dubai and am planning on heading straight to pattaya, where are you staying in pattaya? I don't know if you would be prepared to hang around for an hour till i arrive!Anyway let me know Bud! i would certainly be happy to share a limo to Pattaya
  15. It would be interesting to get as much feedback as possible on your Favourite/Guest Friendly Hotels in Pattaya? Perhaps you would also share as to whether there is a Joiner fee for those hotels/ whether they require Guest Id's to be left at reception etc. Also Hotels that you would most certainly not recommend for whatever reason? Seeya all on the 23rd!
