I'm struggling to get my head around Eneukman's figures of 80,000 a month.At an exchange rate of 70 baht to the £, thats approx £1,140 per month It doesn't cost me that much to live over here There is a post at the top of this page that offers a condo for 8000 a month.Factor in another 2000 for electricity and water to take it up to 10,000.1,200 three times a week for a bar girl is another 14,400 per month,taking you up to 24.5k.Where does the other 50k plus go,after all, food and drink are cheap enough in pattaya. Surely 80k must be living very well

Whoa guy's,steady on. Picture the scene, 1) up all night drinking and other things 2)wakes up feeling shit so just kicks back by the pool 3)gets pissed in the soi's(maybe does short time)goes back to the soi's and drinks some more. 4)get's baht bus to walking street(while pissed) 5)and then gets one back to the hotel at the end of the night. having never seen the beach maybe he thought it was just a harbour?? although i think i would have made the effort on my second visit to at least see if there was a beach

Hi, newbie here,just wondering.when you say you came for three weeks and ended up staying,is that literally or figuratively(sp?) speaking. I first visited Pattaya in july/august this year and yep,you guessed it,i fell in love with the place If all goes well i will be going back out on the 29th of december for three weeks.If i have as good a time this time as last(which i probably will ) then i will be seriously thinking of kicking my job into touch and moving out here. To those who have done this(other than bar owners) what do you do to make money?? cheers.
