  1. I just got back from my annual trip to Pattaya and stayed at Pasadena Lodge for about 16 days. Would I recommend it? Yes indeed, but understand -- What you see is exactly what you get; the site pictures are most accurate. It's a fairly new hotel. I stayed in a Deluxe room, but next time would probably downgrade only to Superior. Reason: Deluxe room size is fine, but not worth the extra 300 baht per day. -- There is no pool, and no hotel provided breakfast. I don't really use either, so the lack of these "extras" played no part in my decision process. I don't bring a laptop with me, so lack of wi-fi wasn't an issue. Service staff was great. I was out of my room by about 11:30 each morning, and when I came back about 1:15 P.M. my room was always cleaned. (Another guy down the hall had a Do Not Disturb sign constantly out, and the service staff cleaned his room regularly at about 4 P.M.) The Front Desk staff was helpful too. On my last day there the taxi service I contracted with was a no show to get me to the airport. They called their taxi contact and 15 minutes later I was on my way to the airport (this was at 10 P.M., and the taxi rate was 1100 baht). -- Is there still construction noise? Yes, BUT only occasionally now. Most of the "heavy" construction is done, so at maximum only maybe about 2 or 3 days out of the week would you hear any banging (for short periods of time only, say 10 minutes max). I'm a light sleeper, so I thought that this would be an issue for me, but it really wasn't. -- Next time I would request a room not in the front streetside of the hotel. Reason: morning sun about 8 A.M. Thankfully I had one of those travel eye masks with me, so I could make things dark and get a couple more hours of sleep each morning. If you like staying in the Soi Dianna Inn/Soi LK Metro/Areca Lodge area of town, I would happily recommend you consider staying at the Pasadena Lodge.
  2. Alan: I truly appreciate what you are trying to do with your girls by teaching them a little business sense and customer service. You've taken into consideration the whining/complaining on the boards we're making about the high prices (but of course it's not OUR fault that part of the problem is of our own making because Mr. Happy "forced" us to pay more, right?), and tried to do something about it. I was there last month, and you have a great stable of girls working at your club. I rated your club in the top 5 of the go-gos on Walking Street, so I stopped by every night I was there. While I didn't BF anyone, I visited your establishment often ogling and fantasizing about what could occur with a couple of them. (O.K. truth be told there was one stunner very late one night I was seriously interested in, but the 100 baht I strategically paid one of your excellent service girls gave me all the info I needed at the time -- she had a boyfriend, and it was too late to even consider a ST.) Your lower barfine prices are clearly stated on the wall. I just wish some of the other go-go owners would be smart enough to follow your management philosophy: it's about the customer. Focus on that and the money will just flow into the business. It's obviously happening at your club, because you were always busy. Thank god it was low season or I wouldn't have gotten a seat a couple of times.
  3. I did some more research from some old notes and here are a bunch of other songs (again, U.S./international dance music) to which bar girls will have no problem dancing. 4. (Sorry I'm so late on this thread, but I've just started intense research for my return trip to Pattaya next month and just ran across this issue.) When I go to AC I always take a list of songs I get the DJ to play. They are all from the U.S.; mostly under the category of "dance"; no techno. They are in no particular order. These are guaranteed to get the girls to dance. 2 UNLIMITED Get Ready for This Twilight Zone La BOUCHE Be My Lover Sweet Dreams C & C MUSIC FACTORY Gonna Make You Sweat Here We Go REAL McCOY Another Night Run Away Le CLICK Tonight is the Night BAHA MEN Who Left the Dogs Out DJ MICO What's Up MONTELL JORDAN This is How We Do It REEL 2 REEL I Like to Move It DIS N' DAT Party AMBER This is Your Night EMF Unbelievable VANILLA ICE Ice Ice Baby TAG TEAM Whoomp!
