Phuket Hotel Recommendation

anyone has any experience or recommendations in regard to Phuket:

1) Location - where most pretty ladies congregate (Patong?)

2) Hotel - not budget-conscious but don't want to spend over $100 per night

is Holiday Inn a good choice for monger(s)?

3) Day time activities - this might sound a little unfamiliar for some of you

Phuket:

 

1) Holiday Inn is the worst choice for mongers.

 

2) There are lots of nice hotels at Patong Beach, but some will want to charge you a "joiner" fee for any ladies, especially the nicer hotels.

 

3) Take a look at Latestays.com for a deal. Send an email to the hotel, before booking, to confirm the joiner fee charge or lack thereof.

 

4) Daytime activities? Hang around the pool. Get a soapy massage. Take a trip to one of the nearby islands, etc.

Phil,

 

I'm not sure there's such a thing as a "best" hotel for mongers. Some guys want to be close to the action and are happy with a clean but basic room. Other guys want a bit of luxury and don't mind paying for it. If you want to go the basic route, try the C&N hotel. The Tropica Bungalows is also well located and not too expensive. Actually, there are lots of hotels. Another that comes to mind is the Orchid Residence.

Try the Thara Patong on beach rd ,Stayed there many times never paid a joiner fee,

Premier room about 2500 bht . Close to the actiion.

avantika boutique hotel looks awefully good to me...

 

anyone has any experience with above hotel before?

is it guest friendly?

It looks like a new place. Sort of far away from the action, so I'd plan on a taking a tuk tuk down to Soi Bangla for the evening's festivities. Same thing going back. I think the tuk tuk mafia has a lock on the rate - 100 baht. I'd send them an email on their guest policy. Otherwise, if you don't mind the price, go for it.

Hi , I'm a regular to Patong so i would advise any of the following - guest friendly and close to Banlga rd.

Expat hotel http://www.expathotel.com/

 

Any of these will serve your purpose well

You can get a fairly decent rate for Avantika and other hotels around the asian countries on www.precisionreservations.com.

2 different hotels but run by the same people. They are right across from each other on the soi.

Be patient with the email , may take a while or may not have net connections right now as this can happen often in patong , especially in view of the recent heavy floods there.. One of the guys who runs them is a german called Peter and seems like a nice guy.
