When I first started working in Pattaya 14 years ago that guy was doing exactly the same.

He obviously makes a good living from it to have stuck with it for so long.

As for your question about traffic, you mean to say that there are traffic rules in Pattaya? <huh

I actually asked him once, and I think he said he started in the early Eighties. Another one I always seem to see is a tall, skinny guy pacing up and down the beach road trying to sell rucksacks and bags. No one ever seems to even stop and look, so it beats me how he makes a living.

Does anyone know his name? How long has he been selling flowers on the street? How is he permitted to roam a street closed to traffic on a bike? Invent your own questions!

Inquiring minds want to know the answers to these questions. I'm a little confused by this thread. Harris, are we concerned that he is doing something wrong or causing a traffic problem on walking street at night when the street is closed off?

I too have seen him over the years and a few times I have purchased a flower or two from him. Not sure if you are having a problem with him working Walking Street. I think its great the the guy is doing something to make a living and not begging like some do.

i remember him as far back as 1987, and he always remembers me,there is another guy everyone will remember, but has'nt been seen for a while, a really tiny deformed man ( i think he was from cambodia ) he used to sit on beach rd from early morning till last thing at night in just a tatty pair of white shorts. as you walked passed he would hold out a plastic cup and say hello hello, well last year ( february ) i was walking through china town in kuala lumpa and there he was ,hello hello,he rembered me and my wife has well. :P
