Any good DVD Shop and Fake watches Shop?

Recommended Posts

Need to find a good shop seeling goos fake watches (Breitling and others) and another one for good DVD's (Although they are all over beach road, but the music ones are expensive, around 250 baht).

Just tried the search option as this subject have been discussed before., but couldn't find anything.

Somebody mentioned a shop in 2nd or 3rd road near a market, can anybody tell me the name of shop or the address.

You'd be far better off in Hong Kong.. but if you must buy it in Bangkok. Siam Center for the watches.. and IGK World Plaza for the DVD's.

Pay no more than $2-3 for the DVD's and no more than $40 for a top of the line automatic replica. However, most of the watches you find in BKK are not of the same quality that you can find in Hong Kong or Tokyo.

Hong Kong copy watches CAN be bought in Pattaya!

If you go into the Royal Garden Plaza shopping mall from the Beach Rd, McDonalds is on your left, outside there is a watch stall, they display the usual 'non branded' shit, with the occasional crap Armani or Jacob and Co watch. The guy that owns the stall is a Chinese guy called Mr.Boon, he arrives there after 3pm most afternoons, and if you tell him that he comes recommended for good HK copies, he may let you into his inner sanctum of goodies? <laugh

He sells the HK copies for 2000bt each, and he will have them waterproofed for an extra 200bt!

My Mrs bought a Cartier copy from him 4 years ago, its still going strong, apart from 2 battery replacements, and the stainless steel strap has not tarnished. I have since purchased several Rolex's and a Tag from him over the years, and all still looking and working well!

For DVDs: In Pattaya it is trial and error mostly.

There is a DVD stand in the Soi Buakao / South Pattaya Market (Open Fridays and Tuesdays): Go up South Pattaya Road, on the left side, till (after passing Tuk.com on the right hand side) you enter to the Market area. There go to the Eastern Part of the Market, and keep on the right side, next to the building. After crossing one or two Sois you see the shop in a shop house.

The guy is reliable, prices are around 120 or 130 after some haggling (buying more than 1 or 2 initially helps!) But: Last time I was there (2 weeks ago) it seems he was anticipating a raid, only had legitimate copies on offer.

Opposite side is a good vendor for CDs and music DVDs.

In Bangkok, best place IMHO is in Chinatown. (100 per disc, and buy 5 get 6 is the rule). They also seem to have a lot of older DVDs or Asian movies, hard to find elsewhere.

Hope this helps
