Mr.Boon normaly charges about 1750/2000 baht per watch and will have it waterproofed for an extra 100 baht if you are prepared to wait an hour for this service. He usually arrives at his stand after 3pm, and his work associates will deny any knowledge that these copy watch sales exist if you aproach any of them prior to his arrival. Hi Jgarty, The majority of banks and travel agents in the uk will look in there little black books when you say you want t/cs for Thailand, and then recommend that you take them in Dollers! Dont do it !!! I have made this mistake twice and always get a worse exchange rate when over there. Sterling is best, preferably American Express Travellers Cheques, as these can be exchanged anywhere, as opposed to some such as 'Thomas Cook' or 'Marks & Spencer Bank' cheques. I have never found an agent that would NOT sell you a 1 way ticket to anywhere? I have just booked a 1 way ticket to BKK from Birmingham for £325 with Emirates (including tax). If you do a search through Kelkoo flight search, I find this the easiest and quickest way of searching a lot of ground in one swoop. Good luck, Prince

Some great restaurants here guys, just thought that I would add my own favorites to this compilation.. 1) Vientianne ( I have heard that its being knocked down to make way for another shopping Mall??) 2) Lobster Pot on walking st. (Steamed Green Lip muscles, covered in mozzerella cheese, then under the grill for 2 minutes, not on the menu, but will do them if asked.) 3) PIC Kitchen (The best deep fried crab claws I have ever had) 4) El Toro Steakhouse (2nd road, at the back of Royal Garden Plaza. Had a 'chateau-briand' piece of beef here that was cooked to perfection. 550 bt for 2 persons, unbeatable value.) 5) Pig & Whistle( for the best breakfast in Pattaya, and traditional english fayre) 6) Any 24 hour pizza place....especially when your rolling drunk, about 4am, they could give it a dog shit topping.....it would still taste like heaven! 7) Shenannagans (not been for a while, but there sunday carvery was worth every baht.You can eat as many oysters as you want?)

Hong Kong copy watches CAN be bought in Pattaya! If you go into the Royal Garden Plaza shopping mall from the Beach Rd, McDonalds is on your left, outside there is a watch stall, they display the usual 'non branded' shit, with the occasional crap Armani or Jacob and Co watch. The guy that owns the stall is a Chinese guy called Mr.Boon, he arrives there after 3pm most afternoons, and if you tell him that he comes recommended for good HK copies, he may let you into his inner sanctum of goodies? He sells the HK copies for 2000bt each, and he will have them waterproofed for an extra 200bt! My Mrs bought a Cartier copy from him 4 years ago, its still going strong, apart from 2 battery replacements, and the stainless steel strap has not tarnished. I have since purchased several Rolex's and a Tag from him over the years, and all still looking and working well! Prince

Hi Jauls, I have heard that some airlines no longer need return flight confirmation, but I think that Emirates is NOT one of them? I always fly Emirates, and have always reconfirmed 2/3 days prior to my departure date? Hope this helps mate? Prince

Hi Jack, Some friends of mine emigrated to Thailand earlier this year, and looked into the possibility of taking there cats with them from the UK. I am not too sure of the exact details, but I am sure that the cost was about 15,000 per cat, + a fee for the correct quarentine checks in Bangkok. The cats were expected to be fully upto date with the apropriate inoculations, and they would of been kept in quarentine for about 7-10 days after landing at Don Muang. It was not the cost that put them off, but the fact that the sudden and dramatic climate change would probably of killed off the horrible furry critters? Hi Majella, A bloke that I know returned from Thailand last week, he had flown with Royal Jordanian and said they were shit! Service on the plane was crap, and they ended up having an unexpected 7 hour stopover on the return journey in Amman? Is it really worth sacrificing a few quid more for this level of service? I would personally pay a few pounds more for a decent airline like Emirates,China or Thai. Prince
