  2. I stayed there about three weeks ago (begining of February 2007): a. The rooms are nice and new (at least my room) so no complaints here. b. The restaurant is not that great c. The view from the rooms - well, there is none. So if you want view - forget it. d. The joiner fee - no joiner fee for 1 girl - 500 baht for any extra girl per night - no problem for me since 1 is enough for me e. The price was 1500 baht per night. Plus 3% extra paid because of credit card. I stayed there for 11 nights and asked the manager (enlgish guy) to waive the 3% extra but he is very tough and

  8. I was wondering if anyone here has experienced both and can say which is better? The price is similar so now it's about the experience... The Majestic Suites is fully booked so it looks like the above 2 are the only viable options... Thanks in advance.
  9. Regarding the LEK: a. We stayed in the new wing - and I was actually thinking "what? is this the new wing???" So I met an american guy near the lift and asked him if this was in fact the new wing - and he said "yeah this is the new wing, doesn't look like it .... but if you would have seen the old wing - then you would appreciate the new one..." b. I checked out two rooms, one was on the 3rd floor (my room) and the other on the 8th floor (my friend) - they were both (using moderation) - not very nice. c. regarding the staff, I agree that opinions vary, after all we are dealing with p

The Good: + Super Super Clean Rooms +
