Cheers for the info guys. 500 Baht sounds too good to be true though. What sort of aircraft would that be, a Hang glider?......lol

Thai Air Asia use Boeing 737-300 aircraft.

Used them last year up to Chiang Rai, booked on the net from the UK well ahead of travel, and the return fare was 1170 Baht (400 each way plus 370 tax).

Flight was on time, nice aircraft with black leather seats and they sell reasonably priced refreshments.

The crew and check-in staff were very pleasant and helpful.

sorry no idea what aircraft.

i am pretty relaxed about choice of airline and normally opt for the cheapest, the offers are on thier website, if you are worried about flying go by bus.

Hahaa no i don't mind flying and 500 baht sounds good. Its probably safer in any aircraft than it would be on a bus/ferry.
