Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Travelmood is now advertising flights for the period mid-August through until the end of November.

All prices in UK Pounds incl tax and surcharges.

Thai - 469

Eva - 454

Etihad - 455

Qatar - 444

Eva - 639 (ED)

Considering most airlines are now applying a significant fuel surcharge the prices appear to be quite reasonable. I would assume that most of the main agents will be offering similar prices over the next week or so.

(ive still not convinced myself to get the £888 special with eva!) however my young nephew and his girlfriend last week booked emirates from thomas cook for £391 each in september , which looks like a good deal to me! i think ill hang on until the end of the month b4 i book though.

Thanks Tom. Watching carefully before I book for Sept. Looking around

Southall Travel appears to be a shade below most others although I've not

checked Travelmood recently. Southall are currently doing MAN-BKK in Sept

for £474 inc taxes.

Both Thai Air and Etihad are quoting £409 net in September thru Travelocity but all in inc. taxes are £474 and £447 respectively.

Personally I don't mind stretching legs in Abu Dhabi for an hour but my hunch is Etihad need to come down more to compete in this situation. Any thoughts guys...

  • 2 weeks later...

just booked with BA for sept and they are only £498.

i would rather pay bout £30 extra to go on a newer plane with the better in-flight entertainment and have it direct. Only downfall is you dont get the sexy air hostesses that thai have but can soon make up for that when i land :D

it beats Phuket air anyway that i used on my last visit in the winter- its prob a blessing that they got banned even tho they were cheap as chips.

sparky
