ADSL has it improved any?

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have been using a dialup connection here in LOS for over a year now and it is acceptable in as far as dialup internet goes. Now it seems TOT is finally going to offer ADSL in my area, Soi Kaltalo. My question is what are the pitfalls what are the good things, so far I have heard good things and bad things….How is the speed, is it suitable for VoIP if so how is the voice quality. I can live with dialup for regular surfing if ADSL is slow or unreliable or not suitable for VoIP.

Are there some things I should watch out for, like contract periods hidden fees or the like. Can I change plans if the one I have doesn’t suit me.

Any help here will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Different people have had different success depending on the location. Go down to Carefor and talk to the TT&T people and see what they offer. I'm using MaxNet at the present and it's OK during the times of low usage (early morning) but slows way down in the afternoon and early evening.

You never know what to expect in Thailand until you try it!

Cheers

When you check out what they can offer you Let them know you want to use VoIP as they on most of the lower priced Packages block the ports for this as well as P2P sites.
