Ko Samet Lodging

Want to bring a girl to Ko Samet and want to stay on Had Sai Kaew (Diamond Beach) in the best possible accomodations. My first choice, Sai Kaew Beach Resort is all booked up. Anyone have a good alternative for that beach?

Hi Partyanimal, have stayed at Hat sai keaw villas a few times and thought it was good for 900bt , they have small houses on stilts, large rooms in the blocks and other chalet type rooms , its right on the beach with a restaurant /reception at front and a few bars /restaurants a short walk either side and you can hire a speedboat for fishing /snorkling etc from the beach.

Hey Taffy, I was thinking about Sai Kaew Villa. Do you have any idea of the real differences between the different types of rooms, hard to tell from the website?

 

Waiting to hear from the Chancoy, but not responding to inquiries, maybe no speak English.

I have only ever stayed in the two story blocks at the rear, always stayed upstairs , great for sitting outside on the balcony drinking with the mates and our girls. The rooms are large but basic with a king or queen size bed and they had a front and back door for ventilation, also fan and aircon, 1 minute walk to reception and beach, can't wait to get back there for a night or two in 2 weeks.

 

Chancoy looks nice but double the price, as they say "you get what you pay for"

Hey Mook, Sametville Resort looks nice and relaxing but am a bit concerned that my girl will get bored since it's so isolated. Did you go around to the other beaches or stay put on Ao Wai?

 

The website looks good. How nice are the rooms? I asssume their would not be too many farangs with with Thai girls there?

Party I always booked in advance with an agent and have always been able to "knock" them down a bit on the price but have met many people on the ferry who were going over there and hoping that they would be able to find accomodation on arrival, met one bloke again a few days later on our beach who stated he only just managed to get a room at Malibu resort, he paid more than us for an inferior room (I stayed in Malibu once before) and after seeing our beach and it's attractions said that he thought we had a better deal, it was his first trip to Los and strangely enough he happened to come from my home city and lived about 7 miles from me, small world eh!

 

ps if you do go to the same place keep your eyes open on the beach for a kuggerrand set in a ring that I lost about a year ago whilst "playing" with my tg, a reward is posted. lol
