Anybody have anything bad to say about this place. I'm thinking of staying here on my next trip. I read on their website that they give an exclusive walking map for hotel guests. Does anybody know what this is about, and what places they mention? I imagine the Thermae, but what else? Thanks--meatjoy

The Royal Asia Lodge on Sukhumvit Road, Soi 8?

waaaaaaaaaay down soi 8 with a private tuk-tuk for free to get you to and from Sukhumvit. Rooms are adequate.

 

Once you get to Suk - then cowboy and nana are close by.

 

restaurant sucks. had breakfast there once.....got food, coffee, juice, toast, condiments, etc all separate and all about 5 minutes apart. the restaurant is on top floor and they have a dumbwaiter (mini-elevator) for shuttling the food from the kitchen downstairs..

 

there are better places to stay.

Thanks Upena, I think you've already talked me out of it... How about Grottino? Where would you suggest 1000-2000 baht price range all things considered? Thanks again---
