EVA deluxe LAX-BKK

I spent the extra $200 for the deluxe seats and I'm already regretting. After I purchased the seats, I found no window or aisle seats were available LAX-TPE. This means I will have people on both sides of me for 14 hours. I think I'd rather have a coach window or aisle seat.

 

If I arrive early to the airport do you think I have a good chance to have this seat changed? And does anybody know if this will be a newer or older plane?

Wouldnt worry too much.If no aisle or window seats available then you will be in the centre section of a 747-400 series but these seats are big (compared to economy/coach)

Ring the airline direct explaining that you "need" an aisle seat for personal reasons and thats why you have purchased an evergreen deluxe/elite seat.

They will allocate you a seat rest assured.

If on the remote chance they dont, explain politely but firmly that you CANNOT travel on "inside seating" at check in and stand your ground.

They will move somebody or better still upgrade you.

I agree with Chivas

 

- I just did a trip in the middle seats without discomfort (6 foot and 190 lbs - much better than coach aisle or window on EVA - The seats are big and the armrests are rather wide and double so there is no sharing involved. Might even be better than the aisle as no service carts or big passengers are bumping into all the time - just a bit harder to get up and walk around - but not that much harder.

 

You can always try for a last minute switch going into this last trip all my seats were middle and 3 out of 4 were changed to aisle - but the one BKK to EWR stayed as middle and I made out just fine

Piece of cake if you check-in early. Tell them you want an aisle or window.
