Royal Twin Plaza Hotel

Howdy,

 

I just booked the Royal Twin Plaza Hotel which sits accross the street and back a block on Pattaya 2nd Rd from the Royal Garden Mall for my wife and myself.

 

A friend and I walked through the building last Oct when we were both in PB and were very impressed with the lobby, restaurant size, and swimming pool but I've never stayed there.

 

Any member here actually stayed there? What was your impression?

Use it all the time. Good location and good value for money.

 

Buy the VIP card at 350 baht and the room rate comes down from 1300 a night to 990 for the basic room.

 

The rooms are a good size although some are getting tired, but theres little else around in the value for money stakes.

 

Use either of the laundries outside the hotel, and get your water and beer from the corner shop.

 

The room service menu is ok and not expensive.

Reasonably good hotel at a decent price if you buy the discount card. Location very good for Walking Street and easy access to all on 2nd Road.

Yep a nice hotel owned by same people that own the Royal palace, next door. If you dont want breakfast which is not great it's ok but canteen style cooking tell them that you dont want breakfast and the price is reduced by 90baht a night. A great English breakfast is to be had at the Ritz 100yards down Soi Yamoto from Second Road its about a 2 minute walk from the Towers, (turn right on second road and then second left Soi Yamoto) Shamrock Bar on Pattayaland 2 is also OK for breakfast.
