Sunshine Residences Soi 8

Am thinking of maybe looking to stay there for a week or two next month-either that or Flipper Lodge-both on Soi 8.

Have a good idea what Flipper Lodge is like but not seen too many reviews of Sunshine Residences.Both places have special offers on so may even stay at both,but would like to hear from anyone who has stayed at Sunshine Residences.What is the accommodation and pool area like-I do not want to stay in the older part of the hotel.Cheers.

Its not a bad hotel for what you pay,if you can handle noise all night then you will like this hotel.

 

Very nice pool area with an upper pool area for sunning yourself(a bit more private)

 

Im staying there again ,i thought the cleaners were excellent,reception staff not very security concious,on many occasions i asked for my key and they didnt even check if it was my room.Reception staff seem a bit moody,bell boys always smiling.

 

Beware the indian shop salesman on complex ,bothered me endless

the new wing, especially if you get on the upper floors allow you to look out from your balcony and see the bay if your above about 7th floor.

the "main" old wing is dramaticly diffrent from the new wing.

recommed new wing.

would go with flipper before main,

Good rooms in the new wing. As stated above the higher floor have a good view of the bay and down the Soi, and due to the height there is less noise pollution for those who this bothers. Ask for the end room on the side that sides onto Soi 8 as these are slightly larger. Think rates varied from 1050 to 1400 for these rooms depending on season. Discounts in May both online (Pay 6 get 7) and walk up (Pay 5 get 7).

Thanks for the info lads,I will probably book a couple of nights somewhere and then check a few places out-the walk up offer of pay 5 stay 7 sounds good value-I had that offer at Flipper House last year but not on offer this time,same offer on at Flipper Lodge.

stayed at sunshine both old and new wings several times,never had any problems

pleasent staff good location,would stay there again.
