I've seen a few photos of Thais where they make their thumb and finger into a kind of 'V' shape and place it underneath their chin.

 

I was just wondering where this pose comes from and whether it means anything?

Several parts of that story are so unlikely that it defies logic.

 

1) It would be very unthai-like to publicly participate in an extramarital trist. In the next village or down the road quietly, most certainly, but not in view where the wife would lose face and sharpen her knives!

 

2) Virginity is given a very high rating in the marriage mix, so having the whole village know of this would create some very angry thai moms!

 

3) Ever been to Buriram? How long do you think a mud hut would last in the rainy season?

 

4) There IS NO "V" or v sound in the Thai alphabet!

i spoke with my girl on this matter and she has informed me it goes with a phrase and it goes something like sooway bot mai or sooway mai bot i think this translates to something like i am more beautiful than you now go away not sure though.
