I have stayed there on my last 5 visits, with my last stay in July. Nice views of the bay if you get deluxe sea view room. Rooms are overpriced and I think you can find better value hotels away from Walking Street. Breakfast is very ordinary.

 

With every visit I see the state of the rooms deteriorate and room service get worse. Carpet is very dirty and bathrooms filthy. One time I checked-in at 3:00am and just crashed on the bed. When I woke up noticed that bins were not emptied from previous occupants. Lucky I just crashed on the bed and not between the sheets as I think these were not changed either. Cockroaches and other insects around but can be fixed with insect repellent.

 

I am in Pattaya again around New Year's and I am researching alternate accommodation. I will not be staying at Diamond Beach again. (At least I hope not)

The location is excellent if you want the nightlife and if you get the cheaper rooms at the rear, you don't hear any of the noise from WS. So if you want an early night that is a benefit.

 

As has been stated already, there is a fair chance that your room will be occupied by insects. I had ants appearing in the bin every so often. I stayed there because most other places were full at Chinese NY.

 

The pool is indoors (waste of time) and there are 4 sunbeds on the roof area. The water tub/jacuzzi/whirlp pool thingy was absolutely filthy - the Ruskies did not seem to notice though
