Connection to a chat with Firefox

I was browsing the net and stumbled upon

I wanted to have a look and clicked on "free chat"

 

My Firefox 1.5.0.9 browser comes up saying:

 

"Error logging on: problem reading from server."

 

I can log in with a Opera 9.01 8552 browser and with my IE 6.0.2900 browser. I have done this several times so it's not a one time occurrance. What is the problem and how can I fix it ?

It's not the browser per se. I have Firefox 1.5.0.9 and it works for me. It's using Java. Do you have that enabled in Firefox?

Yes java is enabled - I think the error message would be different if it wasn't
